l INTRODUCTION
During the period from December 12, 1985, to January 18, 1986, Rideau Geophysics Limited carried out ground magnetic and VLF-EM surveys on behalf of Kinbauri Gold Corp., on Kinbauri's Morrisette Claim Group, in Morrisette Township, Larder Lake Mining Division, northeastern Ontario. Figure l, following, is a location map of the grid. The addresses of the parties to the work are as follows:
Rideau Geophysics Limited 976 Green Valley Crescent Ottawa, Ontario K2C 3K7
K i n b aur i Cold Cor p.Box 1.58Carp, Ontario 'KOA 1LO
The objective of the surveys was to assist with the geo logical structure mapping of the property, in order to locate and define the extent, of shear s ones that might be favourable for gold mineralization.
The survey was carried out by a two man Rideau Geophysics Limited crew, operating out of Kirkland Lake, Ontario.
2. PROPERTY
The Morrisette claim group surveyed consists of 30 claims, which are as follows:

GEOLOGY,
A summary of the geology on the claim group, as extract ed -from a 1985 report by John Adams, is provided below.
The geology on the property is dominated by 3 broad, northwesterly trending bands of intermediate to mafic volcanics. The southernmost band is intruded by northwesterly trending quartz-feldspar-porphyry intrusions. Contacts between these two rock types are often sheared or faulted, the observed shearing bearing similarities, in trend and character, to shears hosting several gold prospects near the property. A minor, recessive unit of feldspathic sandstone and conglomer atic, sandstone? also occurs within the southernmost band of intermediate to mafic volcanics, and is probably more wide spread in distribution than current mapping indicates. DBS maps show the property to be cut by a series of northwesterly trend ing shear zones which are locally carbonatized. Silicification in the form of quartz veins, stringers, and fracture fillings is widespread, occuring in northwest and east of north shear zones, but most commonly in the quartz-feldspar porphry where up to 207. white quartz veins over considerable widths have been noted.
Gold prospects on adjoining properties near the Morrisette property all occur in carbonatized, silicified, and sericitized shears, commonly striking 0300 to 0700 and 1150 to ISO0 . The gold is associated with quartz-feldspar porphyry intrusions and is frequently accompanied by molybdenite and chalcopyrite min eral i z at i on.
There are no known gold deposits on the Morrisette prop erty; however, four areas of significant gold enrichment (rock and humus geochemical surveys), associated with shearing and alteration, have been outlined.

5- EQUIPMENT
The* magnetic survey was carried out using an EDA OMNI IV proton precession magnetometer, measuring the total magnetic field to a resolution of 0.1 nanoTeslas.
A base station -for the magnetic survey was established at a tree stump on line O, about 55 -feet south of the base line. The base station value? was 58655 nanoTeslas.
The OMNI. IV magnetometer has a solid state memory in which the magnetic values and locations of stations are stored. The magnetic values of a base station and any secondary tie points can also be stored and corrections for diurnal drift c a leu l cited automatically. For the Morrisette claim group survey, all traverses were looped back to the base station or a secondary tie point, within approximately a one hour time period. For most of the? survey the OMNI IV was used in the "tie-line" mode which has the magnetometer do the diurnal cor- rections. However, for parts of the survey, when tie points from another grid were in memory, the diurnal corrections were appl i ed manual l y.
The VLF-EM survey was carried out using a Beonics EM-16 unit. North-south lines were read using Cutler, Maine (NAA) as the transmitter station (17.8 kHz). The east-west base line and tie lines were read using Annapolis, Maryland (NSS) as the transmitter station (21.4 kHz). The receiver facing directions use?d were north on the north-south lines, and east on the base line and t i e l i nee.
The readings recorded with the EM-16 consist of the In- phase and Quadrature components of the vertical magnetic field, as a percentage of the horizontal primary field.
The survey grid consists of a total of 23 north-south survey lines, an east-west base line, and 4 east-west tie lines. Line O is 6800 feet long. West of line O there are 13 lines each approximately 4100 feet long and east of line O there are 9 lines each about 8800 feet long. Stations along the survey lines, base? line? and tie line?s are picketed at 100 foot inter vals.
The total line lengths surveyed by each method are as fo11ows:
Magnetics VLF-EM
survey lines 139760 139635 base line, tie lines 31250 31513
total 171010 feet 171148 feet32.388 miles 32.414 miles
ll Magnetometer readings were recorded at 50 foot
intervals. VLF-EM readings were recorded at the 100 -foot picketed stations.
l 7. SQAlA.^PRESENIAIlfiN
The magnetic -field readings, with a background level of
158000 nanoTeslas subtracted, are posted on a plan map at a scale of 1:4800, and contoured at a contour interval of 100 nanoTeslas.

The In phase arid Quadrature VLF-EM readings are also posted on a 1:4800 plan map of the grid. Profiles of these values are plotted on the same map, at a scale of iinchs 50 "/..
Calculated Fraser Filter values of the In phase VLF-EM readings are? posted on a separate plan map at the same scale, and are contoured at a contour interval of 20 X.
B. DISCjLJSg.IQNjBF, RESyLTS
The? VLF-EM results indicate a large number of conductors, many of which are between 1000 and 2000 feet in length. There are more than 20 main conductor zones plus additional satellite z ones and isolated conductors. The conductor strikes are be tween west-southwest and northwest. A number of the conductors correlate directly with magnetic highs, however in the north ern part of the property, southwest trending magnetic trends cut across some of the northwest trending EM trends. Conspicu ously absent of any conductors is a broad area in the center of the property, where anomalous gold values in rock samples wer e pr evi ousl y n ot ed.
9. CONCLUSIONS
The geological complexity indicated by the magnetic and VLF-EM results would appear to be favourable for the occurence of mineralization. The short strike length EM conductors with direct magnetic correlation may be of particular interest. Additional induced polarization surveying would help determine whether any of the conductors are related to sulphide mineral- i 2 at i on.
