The term cardiovascular diseases is used here to mean: Diseases and congenital malformations of the circulatory system as

coded in the ICD.- Coronary heart disease- Heart failure- Cardiomyopathy- Atrial fibrillation- Cerebrovascular disease (stroke)- Hypertensive disease- Peripheral artery disease- Congenital malformations of the circulatory system
