Step 7 The ILL Request Result page will be displayed.

This page notifies you that your JerseyCat ILL request has been submitted.

Click on the Print button to print a copy of the request for your records.

Click on Close when done.

You can now return to the results page to view and/or request additional materials...or simply exit JerseyCat.

What Happens Next? 1. Your Inter-Library Loan request will be sent to the MHS Media Center staff. We will review the

request...and may contact you with any questions or such. If all is OK, the MHS Media Center staff will officially submit the ILL request into the JerseyCat system.

2. The ILL request will be sent to a list of the libraries, in order, that hold the requested material. This means:

The first library on the list will be contacted. The library can either accept the request (agree to ship the material to MHS) or reject it.

If the first library accepts the request, the material will be shipped to MHS. Once accepted, most materials arrive at MHS within five to ten school days.

If the first library rejects the request, the request is then sent on to the second library on the list.

The process continues until either a library accepts the request...or all libraries on the list reject the request. (If the request is rejected by all libraries, the material is likely unavailable...and the MHS Media Center staff will contact you.)

3. When the request is accepted, the material will be shipped to the MHS Media Center. We will then:

Contact you when the material has arrived. You will be asked to come to the Media Center to pick up the material.

The Media Center staff will inform you of the date by which the material must be returned to the MHS Media Center...and ask for your agreement to take good care of the material while in your possession and to return the material promptly.
