School Mornings Active playground supervision commences at
8.45am, students should not be at school prior to
this. Teachers and staff are in meetings or doing class

asked to put away their bags and then sit quietly on the
veranda until 8.45am. Parents are asked to be mindful of
the time when dropping their children to school. Thank you.
Food at school With the cooler weather now upon us, students are a
little hungrier than usual with some eating their lunch at
recess time and then not having enough food for lunch.
Please include an extra snack or piece of fruit to help
tackle the hungry bug .

P&C Report IMPORTANT MESSAGE
At last month’s meeting we discussed purchasing 12
iPads for the School. This is a large and important
purchase for us at a cost of approximately $500 each.
More iPads would be better and it was suggested that
we should ask if any person or entity would like to add
to this total in any way.
This year the P&C has already spent around $3,000 on
new resources such as class readers and new classroom
printers.
Wednesday, 4 June 2014 Term 2– Week 6
As we are always striving to improve the learning
opportunities for all the kids, we work very hard at our
fundraising events to be able to achieve these
outcomes.
We have on the agenda for our upcoming meeting a
discussion to decide on the purchase of iPads and how
many.
If you would like to contribute towards our iPad
program or if you have an opinion or something to add,
please come along at 6.00pm on Wednesday, 18 June
2014 (in the old Staffroom) or give James Goodfellow a
call on 0428 668180.
Athletics Carnival
We are catering at the combined schools athletics
carnival next Thursday, 12 June 2014 at TRECC.
There will be approximately 4 schools attending on the
day so we really need volunteers to help man the BBQ,
serve morning tea and lunch as well as bake cakes,
biscuits and slices to sell.
Please consider putting just one hour aside through the
day to come and lend a hand. Please contact James
Goodfellow on 0428 668180.
Next Meeting
Our next general meeting will be held Wednesday, 18
June 2014, at 6.00pm in the old staff room. Everyone is
welcome and encouraged to attend.
Please feel free to contact a member of your P&C
Committee at any time if you have any questions or
suggestions about our column
Remember, all the money we raise goes back to improving our kids’ education and resources.
