BD: Jan 8-Apr 4-2014 All of the heifers are registered. All are polled except one. There are 16 out of leading AI sires and the rest are out of our herd bulls (Tanker, Upgrade, Entourage, Beefmaker, and Rushmore sons). Most are purebreds but there are some that are ¼ to ½ Angus or Red Angus. 27 Blacks and 14 reds with a few blaze faces of each color. All of these females have the potential to go on and be productive cows. They have been on feed at Veltkamp’s Development lot in Manhattan, MT since October 1 and are available for viewing. They should be averaging over 800 pounds by December 6. They have been on the full Zoetis Vaccine program at branding and weaning.

4 Open Commercial Heifers ROCKIN L4 RANCH

BD: Jan-March Rockin’ L4 Ranch is offering four polled, registered January to early March heifers. Two red and two black, three purebreds and one ¾ Sim/RA. The solid red is a Rushmore AI calf out of a Red Iron/Crockett cow. The remaining three are all sired by Rymo Cattle Co. herd sire HPF/Borne Heza Star Y037 out of quality maternal cows with great udders. Delivered to Veltkamp’s Development lot in Manhattan, Mt on October 8, they have been on feed and should be averaging 750 to 800 lbs by early December. All heifers have been vaccinated and poured at branding and weaning.

12 Open Heifers MILLER SIMMENTAL

BD: Feb-March All the heifers (12) enter in the commercial heifer group are registered and I will attach their data sheet from ASA. Their sires are from my Miller Simmental clean up bulls. This group is 100% black with 10 head being purebred and 2 are ¾ blood. Age range is from 2/14/2014 to 3/7/2014. They have had all their shots including bangs. They were weaned on 9/3/2014 and given medicated weaning pellets until delivery to Veltkamp Feed Yard in Manhattan, MT on Oct. 1, 2014.

BD: March This group of females are all March born, non registerable, half bloods, 5 reds and 10 blacks. They have been vaccinated and poured, will be on weaning concentrate for 36 days, sires are a Red MFSR Rod331Z out of Red sire WCS Mr. Hot Rod. 2nd sire is a Red LBR Hot Rod out of RFS Red Iron T20. All cows these females come from are Black or Red Angus.

13 Open Heifers KOCH SIMMENTAL

BD: March and April 13 Simmental SimAngus Heifers. 12 are registered all are black 1 is a commercial 1/2 simangus. March and April born heifers. Sired by a BrooksAbove Par son, a SAV Brilliance 8077/Brooks Above Par bred bull, and Koch LC Monte 803U. This set has been Bangs vaccinated, back poured with Dectomax, Bovishei-ld gold, 8 Ultra, Lutalyse at weaning, Somubac. This is a very consistent set, health is great.

5 Open Heifers LIPPERT

BD: Feb and March The commercial heifers are black with one being a black white blaze face. They are all out of registered Simmental cows and three of them are out of registered Simmental bulls. Two are out of an Angus cross bull. They have been vaccinated with Cattle Master 4, brucellosis, 7 way and wormed. They are out of all AI bred cows that are good producers. These heifers are all born between February 15 and March 15, 2014. These heifers would be a nice addition to anyone’s herd.

6 Open Heifers OPEN 8

BD: February These 5 black heifers are all early February born daughters of First Ascent. These heifers have had 2 rounds of Vision 8, 2 rounds of Vista Once and have been poured at branding and weaning. These heifers were developed at Veltkamp’s feedlot in Manhattan and for an additional $100 per head may be registered after purchase.
