CHARACTERISTICS Cement-based, mono-component, waterproof mortar which possesses good isolang qualies to moisture and protects concrete from carbon- izing. It is suitable to be used for the waterproofing of water deposits, basements, etc. Easy to apply, low applicaon costs and does not have corrosive effects for concretes reinforced with steel. AREA OF APPLICATION It is used to protect concrete and plaster surfaces and walls from hu- midity. Suitable to waterproof water deposits, basements, underground buildings, etc. Suitable for the internal waterproof of underground ar- eas, such as: basements, because it is resistant to high pressures thanks to the strong bond it creates with the support. METHOD OF PREPARATION Preparaon of the support The surface must be free of dust, grease and any other type of impuri- es. If there are crevices or cracks in surface where MONOLIT will be applied, first close them and then apply the product. In cases of wires scking out of the surface where the product will be applied, they should be cut to a depth of 2 to 4 cm and then the created hole should be closed; aſter that, the surface is ready for the product. APPLICATION MONOLIT is added gradually to the required amount of water, by sr- ring it connuously unl the creaon of a viscous mass, which is ap- propriate to be applied with a brush. The surface where the product will be applied should be completely dry and free of any moisture traces. The product will be applied in two or more layers, depending on the EN 1504-2 MONOLIT environment where it is going to be applied. Each layer should not be thicker than 1 mm in order to avoid crevices. The following layer is applied aſter the previous layer gets completely dried.
