Addition: Two and Three Digits

When doing an addition problem, always:

Place the numbers so the ones places are in a straight line.

Add each column, starting on the right and working to the left.

If the sum is greater than 9, carry the one to the next column on the left. (Regrouping)

Subtraction of Whole Numbers

Using your math trick groups from last week, practice subtracting.

Subtraction is the opposite of addition, so you will be able to remember your numbers better than you think!

For example,

2 Ladder Group: 2+6=8 SO 8-6=2 and 8-2=6

You practice: Solve these review problems, then using the digits in the addition problem and solution, write two subtraction facts.

Given review from last week, write the matching subtraction facts given the addition problem and solution.5
