Golf outing a record sellout The Christian Brothers - St. George -- Cummins & Dowd Golf Outing was a record-setting sellout last September with 140 gathering at Mt. Prospect Country Club to celebrate camaraderie and to support the Brothers. Thanks to the efforts of a dynamic committee, chaired by Skip Braband ’65, and to generous benefactors the outing raised more than $20,000 in support of the retired Brothers. Mark your calendar for Monday, Sept 17, 2007 when the Dragons will tee it up again at Mt. Prospect.

Committee member, Dennis LaLiberty '55 (left), helped arrange for two foursomes from his class. Here he’s golfing with Ralph Dangelmeier ’55, Jeff Gottstein ’54, and Pat Gibbons ’55.

Gene Heidkamp ’65 (far right) was the high bidder at the golf outing auction for the golf bag donated by Don Bianchi ’48 (also pictured). The St. George logo was inscribed on the bag thanks to Rene Pelletier ’65. (Below) The Dragons from ’65 got together for their own golf outing in Scottsdale last November. From Left: Skip Braband, Art McGivern, Bill Tortorello, Rene Pelletier, Gary Greenwall, John DeLeonardis, Mike Beattie and Dan Beattie (’69) all sport new golf shirts emblazoned with the St. George Dragon.
