And your Lord has commanded that you shall not worship anyone except Him, and [he has commanded]

kindness to parents. If either or both of them reach old age with you, say not to them [so much as]

‘Ugh’ and do not tell them off, but speak to them kind words.

Who do you think is most the

most important person in the world?

or is it Superman?

Of course you know it is not them but it is your

parents who are the

most special people

on this earth.

Be kind to your parents.

Pleasing them and not upsetting

them or making them angry means

that you are respecting them.

Is it your best friend?

You can have respect for your parents, friends, family, and you can have respect for yourself.

Showing respect to someone means you act in a way that shows you care about their feelings.

Respect is how

you treat someone.

What does respect mean?

Why should you respect your parents?Your parents love you and take care of you. When you were babies and weren’t feeling well your parents kept awake all night and made you comfortable. They fed you and cuddled you when you were sad. They always try and make you happy.

There once was а great man, named Ammar. He cared а lot for his parents when he was а boy. He obeyed them and was kind to them.

One night his mother was thirsty and asked Ammar for а glass of water. When Ammar came to his mother with the glass of water, he found her asleep. He did not think it wise to disturb his mother’s sleep. So, he kept standing there with the glass in his hand until his mother awoke.

His mother opened her eyes after а few hours and found Ammar standing beside her with the glass of water. She asked him,

Му dear son, have you been standing there all this time?

Ammar said,

“

“

Yes mother, I have been waiting for you to wake up, to give you а glass of water.

Ammar’s mother was very pleased with him. She blessed him and prayed to Allah to make Ammar а great man. When he grew up, Ammar was really а very great man of his time.

Children! You should care for your parents like Ammar did. Never say а harsh word to them. Listen to them and obey what they say. Behave well with your parents. Do your best in everything that you do; then your parents will be happy. Allah too will be happy with you.

In the Holy Qur’an, Allah tells us:

اللهم اغفرلي ولوالدي

وارحمهما كما ربياني صغيرا 

O Allah! Forgive me and my parents. Have mercy upon them as

they had brought me up in my childhood.

A du’afor parents

Rasulullah (S) has said:

One who pleases his parents

has definitely pleased Allah, and one who

makes his parents angry has definitely

made Allah angry.

How will you show kindness and respect

for your parents when you meet them today

after madrasah?

REMEMBER...POINTS TO

Parents are precious and very valuable.

We must treat them well and be good to them so that we don’t

hurt and upset them. Upsetting our parents makes

Allah upset with us.
