This learning module is prepared to assist you in managing your learning so that you canlearn more effectively. It is possible that you register yourself as a student after leavingformal education for a number of years. Perhaps you are not used to this type of self-learning mode. Nevertheless, it enables you to manage your own learning style, learningresources and time.

INTRODUCTION
This module comprise of eleven topics(seven theory and four practical) found in the
3105, English Language Teaching Methodology course. Readers will be able to gain
some knowledge regarding the teaching and learning of English among learning
disabled pupils from going through the contents in this module Course participants will
be exposed to the basics of the english language: the communication process, the
components of language, and the skills in language. Emphasis is placed on best
practices and how to best organise a lesson so that the needs of the learning disabled
pupils will be supported. To ease learning, the topics in this learning module has been
divided into smaller units according to sub topics..
Each unit is followed by exercises, questions and tasks. Course participants are required
to complete the tasks given so as to get additional knowledge as well as reinforce the
knowledge gained during your face to face interaction. You are encouraged to get
additional information from a variety of sources like reference books, journal and the
internet.
