Implementation of the New Operation Modes of the Radar Targeting System

Increasing the combat capabilities of N019ME Radar Targeting System due to introduction of autonomous radar channel

PROVIDES:• Detection of the helicopter in the “hovering” mode;• Application of guided “air-to-surface” missiles H-31A with

active seeker to defeat water surface targets;• Implementation of mapping modes with low, medium and high

resolution;• Delivery of coordinates of the detected targets to generate

target designation.

DETECTION OF TARGETS AT A DISTANCE:• In “air-to-air” mode to front hemisphere – 150 km.• “Launcher” type with ERA 30 m² – 40 km;• “Hangar”, “railway bridge” type with ERA 1000 m² – 150 km;• Water surface targets in the mode of observation by real beam

– 350 km.

Page 5: Modernization of MiG-29 Aircraft

PROVIDES:• Input and storage of the data about waypoints,

aerodromes, radio-beacons, up to 99 parameters of eachtype (in standard version up to 6 points);

• generation and storage of the data about 8 routes (instandard version 2 routes);

• automated and manual change of navigation points inflight;

• detection of the flight speed with accuracy 0,2 m/s;• capability to carry out navigation under standard of ICAO

(VOR, ILS/DME);• accuracy of detection of the actual coordinates of the

aircraft with accuracy ± 5 m (in standard version 700 m).

The airborne EMI shielding equipment«Veresk» is designed to protect aircraftagainst the fire damage by the high accuracyradio-guided weapon (aircraft missile system,anti-aircraft missile system) and provides thefollowing:

• automatic active radio and electronicjamming to attacking radio- electroniccontrol means of enemy's armament;

• formation of the jamming effect againstattacking RES (ARES and homing seeker) atall stages of interception: observation,tracking, aiming of the means of defeat;

• guided firm creeping of attacking means(ARES and homing seekers) under angularcoordinates.

The system is intended for recording, processing and storage of flight data recorded by airbornedevices of the type «Tester», «Gamma», «MSPR-64», «SOK UBD», «Ekran», BUR-4, BR-4T-3, BUR-1-2,BUR -SL.

Functional capabilities of the system:• multi-window mode of operation, including on a few screens, all have software Windows• language support capabilities (Russian, French, English ...);• executive adjustment of the type of the airborne recording device and definite aircraft;• input of the flight data in computer from the board data transfer device (BDTD), flash of the system

«Ekran», flight data recorders, from the standard means of recording «UVZ-З» «Obzor-MS», etc.;• prompt rolling and the automated flight data processing with the delivery of graphs, tables and

statistics with the possibility of printing;• simultaneous analysis of the flight data (for the system «Ekran») from the different on-board

systems (TESTER, BCVM-1,2, MVK SUV, MVK RL, etc.);• express-analysis and control of the flight data of the aircraft between flights;• formation of the route afield with the use of the digital map and space images and dynamic

visualization of the aircraft flight and indications of the main instruments in 3D graph andinteractive following of graphs and replaying in separate window of the recorded video image andsound cues;

• stuffing and long storage of the flight data on the detachable optical carriers.

Characteristics of the system:Time of recording 1 hour of flight from BDTD to AWS: – no more than 30 sec for BR-4T-3; Time of processing 1 hour of flight to computer: – average 5 min. for data of TESTER
