    OVERVIEW

    UnlikeconventionalsinglefunctionI/Omodules(i.e.

    DIonlymodule,DOonlymoduleandAIonly

    module),theSIOserieshaveacombinationofI/O

    typespermodule.Besides,SIOalsosupport

    modbusprotocoloverRs485interfaceport.Those

    featuresareveryhelpfulfor electricalcontrol

    systemsapplication.

    Typically,thecablingforelectricalequipmentcanbe

    wildlyspread,theideallocationtoaffixtheI/O

    modulewouldbeinsidewiththeelectricalpanelitself.

    Doingsowouldnotonlyreducethelaborcostofthe

    pipingandwiring,butwillalsoreducethecosts

    associatedwithalldesignandcommissioningand

    troubleshootingaswell.

    Themoduleisrequirednotonlytohavehighimmunity

    tonoiseandinterference,butneedstohavemultiple

    I/Otypestobecombinedtogetherontothesame

    moduleinordertoshrinkthemoduletoasizesmall

    enoughtofitwithintheconstrainedspaceofthe

    panel.

    powerisrestoredafterbeinginterrupted,therelaywill

    automaticallygobackto thelaststateitwasinbeforethe

    interruptionwithoutneedinganyinterventionfromthe

    controllingprogram.

    thepowerisrestoredafterbeinginterrupted,therelayreturnsto

    itsnormalstate.
