O P E R A T I N G P R I N C I P L E S

Eddy current separators have a shor t belt conveyor with a rapidly rotating magnetic rotor. The high rotation speed of the magnets generates an

induction field, producing a quickly alternating magnetic field. The separation is based on the principle that every electrically conductive par ticle

located in an alternating magnetic field becomes magnetic. In other words, for a brief time all the metals that pass the magnetic roller are made

magnetic, allowing them to be ejected.

• the belt conveyor with adjusted belt speed intended to spread material uniformly

• the magnetic rotor made of high-power neodymium (NdFeB) magnets intended to remove non-fer rous metals

• special bearings and precise rotor balancing to obtain high rotat ional speed

• the rotor jacket made of epoxy resins reinforced with glass f ibre

• the separator belt made of high wear resistant polyurethane and equipped with the cleats to remove small i ron contaminants

• double belt seal ing: waved edges and str ip brushes

• the rotor drive with 2- or 4-pole Nord induction motor

• the rotor rotat ional speed adjusted in the range of 0-3000 rpm

• the belt dr ive with Nord geared motor
