PROGRAM SPEAKER Our very extraordinary speaker today was Chuck Kohler, a survivor of the December 7, 1941 Pearl Harbor attack. Mr. Kohler, at the time a 17 year old Navy seaman, told an amazing story of the event of that day, 72 years ago this week. His interesting recall of the minute by minute details of that historic event, in which 3 battleships were sunk in Pearl Harbor, totally captured the Rotary audience. The speaker, who on that day was on duty on Ford Island Navy Air Station in the middle of Pearl Harbor and witnessed the entire attack, This was a fascinating program presented by one of the 22,000 survivors of that day and events which launched the World War II in the Pacific. Mr. Kohler told of a return to the location in 2010 and related the emotion of the experience the survivors recalled the waste of w ar. He urged all pers ons to take the opportunity to visit Pearl Harbor and feel the emotion of standing on the battleship, USS Arizona, which lies under the water with the entire crew entombed.  A very fitting program to help us Remember Pearl Harbor and the historic day of December 7, 1941. AL SPERSKE MOVES TO PARADISE, CA We are sad to report that Al Sperski has moved to the city of Paradise, CA and thus will be leaving our Club. His address will be: 5427 Edgewood Lane #1, Paradise, CA 95969.

EDITORIAL COMMENTSNow is the time for all good men and women to come tothe aid of Moraga Rotary! We need good useful items forthe auction at our Nite at the Races fundraiser. One way isto use your imagination and construct a valuable gift basketthat someone might be ready to bid fifty bucks to takehome!
