Mission Opportunities 4 Christ

The Love of God We have witnessed the love of God in many ways but never thought of ourselves as being God’s love poured out on others. Throughout June and July, we have experienced the love of God, encouraging us to continue what God has called us to do.

We began weekly bible studies, “Disciples making Disciples” in Mumbova, Samonga, and LFBC bible school. Every age is being taught, and God is working in the hearts and lives of those attending. Over the past 9 weeks, 25 men, 31 ladies and over 200 children have remained faithful each week. Pray that each of them will continue growing and begin to disciple others. It was a blessing when Pastor Levi, in Kazungula, shared, “They

may be few in number, but they are sharing what they are taught with others.” We were blessed to preach and teach in Nakatindi, Samonga, and Sikumbe where we held a three-day conference in June. We saw 14 saved at the conference. Joseph gave his life to Jesus and the bottle back to Satan.

In July, we returned to Sikumbe for two days of teaching. The people are eager to learn God’s word. God’s love was poured out from you as we gave new shoes to women and men. Josef was so excited to

receive new shoes he just left his old ones.

We meet under the tree because the wind blew the roof off the church. They have begun burning bricks for a new church and will begin construction in August. The members are working together to rebuild the building, but they are learning the people are the church. Pray for the funds to complete the church and for us to continue teaching monthly in this village.

A new chieftom in Nymwala has opened its doors for the gospel to come. Todd along with others visited the chief. The chief asked Todd, “Are you trying to start something?” Todd said, “Yes, I am trying.” Chief replied, “Stop trying and come.” There are over 500 villages that need to know Jesus and some have never heard the gospel. We will be returning in September, so pray we are received, God will show us peace men, and we will be obedient to God’s direction. We will need help, pray about coming to share the gospel and teach them about Jesus.

So much happened in June, and God is a blessing: -We have a two-year work permit

-Dolls are being collected so children do not have to wrap glass bottles in a blanket and put hair in the top

-Because of what you gave, bibles are being distributed. 34 Tonga, 48 Lozi, 30 English, 300 NT to Mandia school, and 66 additional Tonga bibles where given to pastors to take to their villages. In July, we were so excited to have Joseph and Sherry Haden from Decatur, AL. What a blessing they were to the people and to us. We traveled to Maala where we met Pastor Sianjomwa and met a team from Lindsey Lane Baptist Church, Athens, AL. What an experience to be in Tehzi for the launch of the Ila Bible NT. Lindsey Lane BC were instrumental in this project and blessed everyone present with a new Ila Bible.

We are so looking forward to the deaf conference, August 22-25. Because of your generous support for this conference, many will be able to attend that would not have been possible without your help. What a blessing and out pouring of God’s love as you have given over $4,100 for the deaf. Diana and Kim minister to the deaf at Holy Cross on Tuesdays. They received some of the school supplies that arrived in barrels. The teachers were given English bibles.

School supplies were also given to Joseph, teacher at Namasobe.

We spent the day teaching along with a team from Mississippi. Praise God! 13 were saved.

What a blessing it has been to see 95 give their life to Christ over the past two months. We do not know what lies ahead of us, but we praise God each day for choosing us to spread the love of Jesus. Please continue to pray for us and especially the Nymwala chieftom, deaf conference and all the new believers.
