Automobile manufacturers and car importers are required by law to recover and recycle ASRs, air bagsand CFCs arising from discarded automobiles. Mitsui (and Mitsui Bussan Metals) is entrusted withback-office operations of the ASR process fromART team.

Project Outline: In Thailand, Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Law (T-WEEE) isexpected to be enacted in 2015. Based on this, Mitsui will start a feasibilitystudy on electronic waste recycling business in Thailand with local partners,and conduct research on market size, profitability and licensing procedure.
