Our wonderful choir

Lord and Savior as

the students at Faith

Academy join in and

are moved to

worship.

and girls were

altar.

What a great time we had at Faith Academy in Mobile

on Wednesday, October 23! The school invited all 3 of

our campuses to come and be the guests at a chapel ser-

vice. Our choir led the worship and we had testimonies

from both the men’s and women’s campus. Brother Jim

Jordan shared a Word with everyone. God really moved

in the hearts of these young men and women as 20 peo-

ple walked down to accept Jesus as their Lord and Sav-

ior. There was plenty of prayer being poured out as the

Spirit moved. What a blessing this morning was!!!

Glory to God!!!

We are currently working on much needed

updates and repair of our Taylor House in Mt.

Vernon. The Lord blessed us with this home

in 2009. It’s a beautiful 9,000 sq ft, 3 story

home with 22 beds for women who are in

need of help. The project includes new bed-

ding, paint supplies, flooring, ceiling fans,

resurfacing hardwood floors, kitchen cabi-

nets, mirrors and blinds. The cost estimation

is around $15,000. We have already raised $3,350 and have been blessed with an

anonymous donor who is willing to match dollar for dollar up to $7,500. We are

almost half way there, praise God!! Would you please pray about partnering with us

and helping us to meet this goal? We want to be good stewards over this house God

has given to us and see it hold up and stay beautiful as more and more women make

it their home while learning about who Jesus is. Contact Stephanie Hepburn at

My name is Kim and I’m 37

years old. I started using drugs when

I was 19 years old. I quickly became

addicted and started my descent

down a long dark road.

In 2007, I was admitted into the Ha-

ven of Hope and got saved. However, I believe I was

full of head knowledge but did not have my heart sur-

rendered to God. The head without the heart fails

quickly. I thought just showing up every Sunday for

church would keep me clean but a deep relationship

with Jesus was the key ingredient that was missing.

So it wasn’t long before I stopped going to church. I

fell fast and much harder than before. This time I

stayed in addiction, walking in complete darkness for

12 years.

On January 7, 2019 the Haven of Hope took me back

in. This time I was like a sponge, soaking up the Word.

I rededicated my life to the Lord and this time fully

surrendered my heart. This, along with the saturation

of the Word cleansed me and began to completely

change and heal me. I began to learn who the Lord

was to me, and who I was in the Lord.

I graduated the program in April and moved into the

Heritage Haus located on the Mt. Vernon property

with my 4 year old daughter. I now work as a staff

member for this ministry, serving at the Heritage

Haus by watching the clients’ children while the

women are trying to get to know Jesus through our

program. I feel so overwhelmed and blessed that I

get to be a part and give back to the ministry that

taught me the love and obedience of Jesus Christ. I

watch my daughter pick up on the godly environment

that surrounds her. I watch her pray with the staff

and other children and know that it is producing

something in her I could never have given her out

there in the world. It fills me with joy!
