Christmas Program Schedule...It’s harvest time and that cool crisper feeling of fall ,and soon to be winter, is in the air.......some days.......it’s Nebraska! But

depending where you are (like Hobby Lobby or Walmart (), it’s beginning to look at lot like Christmas! The decorations

are out, the countdowns have begun (www.xmasclock.com) lol, and shopping lists and holiday plans are beginning to form.

Peace Lutheran is also making plans now to celebrate this most wonderful time of the year, when we rejoice at God’s great

gift to us. We’re grateful again to Connie Eitzmann for volunteering to direct the Children’s Christmas Program and for

Cindy Mueller who will assist her in every and anyway that her health will allow. God bless you both!!!!!!!

The Children’s Program has been scheduled for the 2nd Sunday in December, December 9, at the 10:00 a.m. worship service.

Again this year, it’s a week earlier than some past years, so this means that rehearsals will begin the first week of November.

The first two rehearsals involve just the upper PACE grades 5-8. Then the last two rehearsal will involve grades 1-8.

Preschool and Kindergarten - and ALL grades - will practice briefly during the Sunday School hour beginning in November.

So it would be so beneficial, for students and directors, if you could make every effort to be at Sunday School and all

practices.

10:00 AM Christmas Program

Operation Christmas Child 2018What is Operation Christmas Child?“Operation Christmas Child brings joy and hope to children in desperate situations around the world

through gift-filled shoe boxes and the Good News of God's love. This program of Samaritan's Purse provides

an opportunity for people of all ages to be involved in a simple, hands—on missions project while focusing

on the true meaning of Christmas—Jesus Christ.” (From Samaritan’s Purse Website)

It’s hard to believe it is already time to be thinking about Christmas!!! Operation Christmas Child is a unique project that

allows us to reach children all over the world and share the love of Jesus with them. Shoe boxes are filled with toys, school

supplies, and hygiene items. The boxes are distributed to children around the world. We have received many generous

donations and special thanks to Kim Roth who has purchased all of the items needed to pack the boxes this year. On

November 7th from 5:30 -7:00 anyone wanting to fill a box can come to the Fellowship Hall and pack away!!!! All of the

supplies needed to fill the boxes will be available. Then on November 11th be sure to be at our worship service as we dedicate

the shoe boxes. This is a wonderful project and a great opportunity to spread the love of Jesus to children who are in need

of joy and hope. If you have any questions please call. It costs $9.00 per box to ship, so monetary donations are always

needed and welcomed as well! Special thanks to Thrivent Financial for the Thrivent Action Team Funds we’ve received

to help support this project.

Thank you so much for helping with this worthwhile project!!! There’s no better gift to give at Christmastime than the gift

of Jesus’ love! ~ Yvonne Hoops (#402-236-8751)& Jan Freitag (402-236-8667), Project Leaders
