As the 115th annual Delaware State Championship approaches, I would like to thank the BOD and committees for their continued hard work and support in making another great shoot possible. It’s their hard work that helps us through all the motions in providing a great trophy package and shooting program. The Delaware Trapshooting Assoc. (DTA) would like to thank the New Jersey Trapshooting Association and the Pine Belt Sportsman Club for their support in hosting our 2018 Delaware State Shoot. This will bring another year of working together to provide a venue where you can go right from our shoot to the New Jersey State Championship. This year’s Delaware program will include nine events starting on Friday and finishing on Monday. We will be raffling off another one-of-a-kind Sig Sauer pistol that is never anything but spectacular. We would like to thank Sig Sauer and Bud Fini once again for this opportunity. Sig Sauer’s continued support has given everyone a chance at this one-of-a-kind pistol. The DTA would like to thank Merlynn Wegter and the Wilmington Trapshooting Association for the continued success of the winter league. DTA has two registered ATA shoots scheduled at WTA this year. The DE County Championship on May 6st and National Trapshooting Day on October 7th. WTA will also have 8 registered ATA shoots and has a Monday Twilight League starting April 9th. WTA is open to the public for trap and skeet practice; check their web site www.wiltrapshoot.org for details. In closing, I would like to thank all the shooters who continually support the Delaware Trapshooting Association. I look forward to seeing you all at the shoots and have a great shooting season.
