IOTHINGS comes from the experience gained through M2M FORUM, the firstever international M2M+IoT Conference & Expo. M2M forum was launched in 2002 by Innovability and has brought together European players in the Machine-to-Machine and Internet of Things area.

IOTHINGS is the most important Italian event dedicated to M2M and and IoT Technologies. It takes place twice a year: spring edition in Milan and fall edition in Rome to reach different target. Milan 2019 hot topics will be: Cybersecurity / GDPR and Data Monetization for IoT.

IOTHINGS MILAN has attracted 2200 attendee from 15 countries, more than 196 speakers in 17 conference sessions, 123 among sponsors, partners and exhibitors (for more information see the End-Of-Show Report Milan 2018).

IOTHINGS 2019 includes 5 big thematic areas which identify the context for the conference sessions and workshops. A single shared exhibiting area is available for exhibitors and attendees.

The event is also innovative in its format: not only expo and conferences, but also business meetings and networking.The 2019 edition will give participants the opportunity of participating in the second edition of IoT Valley Tour to discover the territory excellences.

Since its start in 2002, embedded technology for wireless applications have always been part of the M2M Forum program. Since 2017 the event features a special conference track on this subject.

EMBEDDED IOT is a B2B event for electronic designers, firmware developers and technicians. They gain access to an impressive technology update, given that all the IoT industries are participating all under one roof.

The 2019 edition of EMBEDDED IOT will offer insights into three major application areas of the IoT: Smart Lighting, Smart farming, smart Building. Strong attention will be given, among others, to embedded solutions for the IoT with sensor networks, IIot platforms, certifications, test systems, wearable and batteries, embedded solutions and the most commonly used interfaces in applications. Important issues more closely related to the business will be this year: Smart Environment, Smart Parking, SmartHealth, Waste Management and Industry 4.0. Will also be created in the Expo area, with the support of partners and Associations, “live” thematic areas with “hands on” presentations of innovative IoT solutions related to their respective technologies.

IOTHINGS Milan will take place at MIND, Milano Innovation District, the area that hosted Expo 2015, and which is now being transfromed in an excellent scientific and technologic park. MIND will become a new district that will include the new Galeazzi Hospital, University of Milan’s new scientific faculties campus, and Human Technopole, an international research institute for the leaders in Life Sciences, Healthcare, Biotech, Pharma, Agrifood, Nutrition and Data Science.
