Example

Wisconsin Public Servie (WPS) has a 4 inch gas main in conflict with the signal lights on Mason Street from STA 50+00 LT to STA 52+00 LT.

WPS will relocate the gas main so that it is 5 feet from the right-of-way. The existing gas main will be discontinued in place.

During construction, notify WPS as required by Trans 220.05(10) so this work will start work once the existing pavement is removed. This work will take 2 working days to complete as defined in Trans 220.03(20).

WPS will have a bore machine at STA 50+00 LT and will bore to STA 51+00 LT.

WPS will open trench from STA 51+00 LT to STA 52+00 LT. The trench will be 2 feet wide by 3 feet deep.

WPS anticipates rock blasting from STA 51+50 LT to STA 52+00 LT.

Administrative Rule Trans 220. 107-065 (20080501)

When interpreting the term “working days” within the “Utilities” article of these special provisions (and only within this article), use the definition provided in Trans 220.03(20) of the Wisconsin Administrative Code rather then the definition provided in Section 101.3 of the State of Wisconsin Standard Specifications for Highway and Structure Construction.

Wisconsin Public Service (WPS) has an under ground gas main along Mason Street from approximately STA 20+00 LT to approximately STA 52+00 LT

During construction, WPS plans to relocate the gas main along Mason Street from approximately STA 50+00 LT to approximately STA 52+00 LT. The existing gas main will be discontinued in-place.

WPS will store material in a 100 foot by 50 foot area from approximately STA 52+00 LT to approximately STA 53+00 LT. The storage area extends from the right-of-way to 5 feet inside of the slope intercept.
