• When people think of Florida, they conjure up images of sunshine, beaches and, of course, Florida oranges. It may come as little surprise then that the state flower of Florida is none other than the orange blossom, the flower of the orange fruit tree.

• The Mockingbird is a native to the state of Florida, but its range stretches from the Florida Keys to the South to as far North as Canada. The Mockingbird can be found in suburbs and open land. They are not afraid of people and may even make a nest in a tree in your yard. In fact, they will dive at an unsuspecting dog or cat or even you when you get to close to the nest.

Major Industries• For most of Miami's history,

its economy has been based on tourism. In fact, it was not so long ago that the city came to life only during the winter months when tourists from cold northern regions flocked to its beaches, hotels, and resorts. That phenomenon is no longer the case, as tourists visit the region throughout the year. In 2003, 10.4 million overnight visitors came to Greater Miami, infusing the local economy with $9.9 billion in direct expenses, such as hotel rooms, restaurants, shopping, transportation, and attractions, and another $5.5 in indirect expenditures in such areas as real estate, medicine, and retail.

need love” was the reason that Little Brothers' founder, French nobleman Armand Marquiset, entered the lives of lonely and isolated elderly in France in 1946. After witnessing the suffering and hardships of the elderly after World War II, Marquiset began visiting and delivering hot meals with flowers to the elderly poor in Paris.
