REQUIREMENTS
Miami Commitment Program Requirements:
Miami Commitment program requirements have been developed to guide you on a successful path towards career development.
You will learn some of the core “competencies” or skills that employers look for when you graduate.
The workshops you will be required to attend change every year and correlate to your MC class standing.
Miami Commitment First Year Program Requirements:
Attend the Miami Commitment Orientation Attend a Time Management Workshop Register with HireACane (Toppel) Complete the Type Focus Assessment Tool
(through HireACane) Complete the Fall Semester Evaluation for First
Year MC Students Complete the End-of-Year Evaluation for First

Where Are You In The Process?
If you have not yet contacted the employer listed in your referral letter:
Contact the employer immediately to schedule an interview.
If you have interviewed for the position, but do not know if you have been hired:
Contact the employer to see if they want to hire you.
If you have interviewed for the position but did not get hired or the job was filled when you called:
Make an appointment with the Miami Commitment Coordinator to get a new referral.
The Hiring Process
Where Are You In The Process?
If you have been hired by the employer:
You will need to complete E-Verify. Your department’s e-verifier will send you an email with a link to the HireRight System.
Once you complete E-verify. Have the employer complete the Student Employment Assignment form (SEAF-Part 1) and submit it to the Office of Student Employment.
How Students Get Hired
Once your assignment is processed, both you and your supervisor will receive a confirmation via email that will provide instructions on: Submitting a W-4 Form Completing an application for Direct Deposit
Getting paid: You will be paid bi-weekly Your supervisor will provide you with instructions on
recording your hours in KRONOS.
