Metals Technology Centre Mintek produces critical assistance with the selection and testing of materials, undertakes worldclass development work on alloys, and solves difficult problems associated with their use in applications. the organisation is fully equipped to carry out a wide range of standardised and unstandardised tests on the mechanical and corrosion properties of materials to gauge and improve product performance.a variety of clients use Mintek’s consulting services to improve their processes and product performance. several projects have been completed for industry including failure investigations, materials characterisation and testing to standards, including hydrogen induced cracking (Hic) testing to nace tM0177 and nace tM0284. the division’s comprehensive resources can be brought to bear on any investigation, large or small, unique or typical.
