One of my ideas of a goodtime is enjoying fine food, and Ilove
nothing better than to findor rediscover a great place to eat!I
stopped into Espresso, Etc. theother day to buy a sandwich totake
away and, while waiting forit to be prepared, I took a ganderat the
menu. Janet and Frenchhave expanded and improved
the menu since my last visit andI was impressed! Not only dothey
continue to make their fab-ulous sandwiches with a choiceof breads
baked fresh daily (in-cluding gluten-free!) and real
meats, like fresh roasted turkey and beef,they also produce
burgers — beef,chicken, veggie, buffalo and meatloaf —and wraps,
and donair. As well, they offera variety of salads and many
yummy-sounding breakfast items, home-madegourmet soups and
delicious desserts.On the beverage side, there is everythingfrom
specialty organic coffees and teas, tomilkshakes made the
old-fashioned way,to Italian Sodas and real fruit smoothies.Not
only that, but you can buy yourfavourite comfort foods, frozen, to
takehome — chili, lasagna, macaroni andcheese, and turkey pies. AND
they cater!The prices are very reasonable, the qual-ity is
splendid, and the lineups are usu-ally not long. They truly are, as
theyadvertise, “More Than Just a CoffeeShop” and it’s well worth
stopping in. Infact, this has made me hungry, and I’mheading down
there now to try the donairand an Italian Soda, something I
