Preliminary Product Sheet

Page 2: Memrecam fx 6000 (Page 1) · NAC’s Memrecam fx 6000 is a fully self-contained, digital, high-speed video system that records brilliant color, or crisp monochrome images with resolutions

General Features1. High Resolution, High-Speed Sensor: TheMemrecam fx 6000 sensor is a state-of-the-art CMOSsensor with a maximum pixel resolution of 512 X 512.

2. Electronic Shutter: OPEN to 1/200,000

3. Bit Density: 10 Bits

4. Environmental : Shock (half-sine, 11msec, 100G andhalf-sine, 50msec, 50G), Vibration MIL-STD-810DMethod 514.3, Operating Temperature (0-40°C, 30-80%RH, no dew), Storage Temperature (10-60°C, 20-80%RH, no dew), Input Power Supply (20-32 VDC).

5. Standard Lens Mount: The Memrecam fx 6000 usesa C-Mount lens mount.

6. Trigger Mode: The customer can use a START,CENTER, END or CUSTOM trigger. In the CUSTOMmode, the trigger point can be programmed andpositioned by the customer (i.e. 0% to 100%).

7. Live Image: A live image is generated by the DigitalSignal Processor (DSP) and can be displayed on anoptional LCD viewfinder or on the monitor of a PC.

8. Operation and Control: All functions, from thecamera setup to the recording and slow playback, canbe controlled using the panel on the back of thecamera. Alternatively, the customer can use NAC’snew Jog-Pad II or he can use a PC-based controlsystem.

9. Synchronous Data Recording: Scene Number, dateand time of trigger, Shutter Speed, Video Process Data,Comments.

10. Backpanel Connectors: TRIG IN (Trigger In),Control (Jog-Pad II connection), AUX (recordingsynchronous signal and serial operation signal forexternal products), 100Base-T (Ethernet 100Base-TXconnection), FC-AL (Fibre Channel connection),Remote In (M-Hub connection), D-VGA Out (VGAViewfinder), CF (Compact Flash).

11. Recording Video Monitor: In VIEW Mode, liveimages captured by the camera but not saved inmemory are reviewed. Images are displayed at a rateof 30 pps. In ARM/REC Mode, the images capturedby camera and stored in memory can be reviewed.

Image playback speed is customer defined.

12. Video Playback Unit: Recorded images can beplayed back and viewed on an optional LCD viewfinderor on the monitor of a PC. The video playback unitallows for “step" fashion image review, allows the userto set the start and end point for image review, allowsthe user to "jump" to the Trigger Point, the START pointand the END point of the image area. Image playbackcan be in a single segment or in a loop. Video output isa Digital VGA signal (uses a TMDS specialized 1channel connector) and the output size is 640 X 480pixels (VGA resolution).

13. Image Download: The recorded images, havingbeen captured in DRAM, can be downloaded directly toa PC or saved on the Compact Flash. Images, however, cannot be uploaded from the Compact Flash or from thePC to the camera.

14. Control Software: Control software is offered by NACin the form of the fx Link software suite. fx Link allowsthe customer to control a single camera system directlyfrom a PC. Alternatively, the customer can develop hisown control software. NAC will provide the customerwith a Software Development Kit (based upon a DLLusing ActiveX component). The SDK will support C++,Visual C++ and Visual Basic (however, Visual Basic willhave limitations as regards to how the ActiveXcomponent can be used).

15. Memory Configuration: 1.3GB, 4.0GB, 8.0GB and16.0GB.

16. Backup Option: The memory backup option allowsthe user to maintain power to the camera’s DRAM,thereby saving the customer’s images, in the event thatpower to the camera system is lost. The images will besaved for approximately 5 hours.

17. Multi-Camera Control: Up to a maximum of 48Memrecam fx series cameras can be connected and fullysynchronized together using NAC’s M-Hub system.Alternatively, a similar number of cameras can be linked(albeit not synchronized), using a simple Ethernet hubor Fibre Channel hub. The NAC Multi-Camera ControlSystem continues to tightly synchronize the NACcamera systems (to +/- 1 horizontal timing pulse).
