State Clearinghouse staff,
Caltrans submitted a Notice of Preparation of an Environmental Impact Report for the South County Traffic Relief Effort project, which was posted by your office on November 8, 2019. Following the public scoping period, Caltrans, in cooperation with the Foothill/Eastern Transportation Corridor Agency as sponsoring agency, has consulted with local and regional agency stakeholders and decided not to move forward with the project. Caltrans will no longer be preparing an Environmental Impact Report for this project, and is requesting that the Notice of Preparation be withdrawn.
