Smartphone Control

LightwaveRF gives access to the home from any location globally where there’s access to the web. This can even be done from a smartphone app giving you instant control from virtually anywhere.

The Lightwave Link connects to your home broadband wi-fi router and syncs to any LightwaveRF device in the home. This can include dimmers, switches, sockets, heating and outdoor lighting.

There are many uses and advantages for today’s busy family:

The Lightwave Link is very simple to setup. It automatically connects to the home broadband and links to every LightwaveRF device in the home. Up to six smartphones or tablet devices can be synced with the Link, meaning that everyone in the family can take control.

The Lightwave Link also saves your routines and timers so that your lighting, electrical devices and heating will come on automatically at the time you set.

A free app installed on the user’s smartphone or tablet gives access to all the preset sequences and moods, to the heating system, and to individual lights or sockets in any room from anywhere in the world.

The signal booster can be used to extend the range of a LightwaveRF device to include a larger area indoors or outdoors if necessary. It can be positioned anywhere as it is waterproof and battery operated.

Home control at your fingertips

Remote Control

All LightwaveRF devices can be controlled from LightwaveRF handheld or wall mounted remote controls. Each device communicates wirelessly and no extra wiring is needed.

Wire-free switches are battery operated and low-voltage, so they can safely be fitted in places like bathrooms where regulations would prohibit the use of mains powered switches.

Use wire-free switches to control any number of individual wire free dimmers.

Mood lighting controllers can create and store up to five ‘mood lighting scenarios’ which can include groups of dimmers and power sockets. An ‘All Off’ button ensures that, with one click, all lights and sockets are turned off, saving on standby power.

Mood lighting controllers and wire-free switches are slimline and at only 15mm deep, they can be simply attached to the wall using adhesive strips provided or screwed into a back box. They are powered by a standard 3V CR2032 coin-cell battery; the battery is easy to change and typically lasts a minimum of 2 years.

Simple retrofit: no extra wiring, no fuss, no mess

Remote Control Dimmers

A designer range of soft start dimmer switches, available in stainless steel, white, chrome, and black chrome finishes. They are compatible with a wide range of dimmable LED lamps, including Megaman. These dimmer switches all use existing wiring circuits for easy installation (minimum 35mm backbox), and can be controlled manually or remotely using the LightwaveRF app, remote or wire-free switch – a neat, battery powered switch that can be positioned anywhere within the home.

2-Way Dimmers

LightwaveRF 2-way dimmers are identical to the standard dimmer switch in appearance, but are designed to be used only as a slave (with a standard dimmer as the master) to perform 2-way switching (for instance hall and landing lights requiring operation from two or more switches).

Up to six slave 2-way dimmers (or up to 6 gangs using multi-gang 2-way dimmers) can be connected to one master LightwaveRF dimmer switch, either connected directly or connected to each other in a ‘daisy-chain’. This provides an alternative to using intermediate switches. LightwaveRF 2-way dimmers cannot be used in conjunction with a standard light switch, as doing so will damage the internal electronics.

• Mains voltage LED lighting can also be controlled using a LightwaveRF inline dimmer.

• It is perfectly legal to install LightwaveRF products in one’s own home.

• All wiring configurations are standard and will be familiar to any qualified electrician. See page 90 for more information.

Inline Switching & Dimming

LightwaveRF inline switching opens up a world of possibilities.

Inline relays and dimmers make it possible to operate mains voltage devices such as curtains, gates, garage doors and large lighting circuits. You can switch or dim them remotely from the LightwaveRF app, remote control or from a wire-free switch.

A LightwaveRF inline relay or dimmer in combination with a wire-free switch can be especially useful in a bathroom where it is not permitted to install a regular dimmer.

Team up a JSJSLW831 inline dimmer with a JSJSLW201 wire-free switch in the bathroom and you can safely dim the lights even in a damp environment.

Pair up a JSJSLW826 on/off switch with a JSJSLW821 inline relay and you can open the garage door and

turn on the house lights when you arrive home.

Inline dimmers and relays don’t need to be accessed physically, so they can be installed in roof spaces or wall cavities. They work remotely, controlled by handheld remotes, automatic switches and triggers or with a smartphone or tablet from anywhere worldwide via the Lightwave Link.

Remote control, timers, locking, socket dimming: complete power control

Power Control

Ultra slimline single and double dimmable sockets to match the dimmer switch range in stainless steel, chrome, black chrome or white metal.

LED status lights show at a glance whether the socket is on or off. Each socket offers full remote control including ‘all-off’ and group control. Fully compatible with any LightwaveRF controller or with a smartphone or tablet via the Lightwave Link.

The ‘socket-lock’ facility can be used to lock sockets off, for safety reasons, or lock them on to prevent unintentional switch-off of appliances, such as a fridge freezer. This requires either the JSJSLW103 remote socket locker or the LightwaveRF app.

Each socket is fully mains rated at 13 amps and fully approved to BS 1364.

If specifying, choose a 35mm deep back box. Use a 35mm if space is a concern.

Plug & play adapter sockets give all the benefits of remote control in seconds without any re-wiring at all. Just plug them in to an existing standard socket to provide instant control, grouping, dimming and mood lighting. Dimmers can handle up to 300W and on/off sockets can be used to switch devices rated at up to 3000W.

Plug & play adapters are sold as a kit which includes a JSJSLW100 handheld remote or a JSJSLW104 mood remote.

Energy Saving Accessories

Energy MonitorEasily fitted in minutes, and with no hard wiring necessary, the LightwaveRF energy monitor measures your household energy usage in real time and sends the data to your smartphone or tablet. That means you can check your energy consumption anytime from anywhere in the world.

Magnetic SwitchThe LightwaveRF magnetic switch can be attached to any non-metallic door or window, and is activated by the opening of the door or window to which it is attached. So if it is linked to one or more LightwaveRF dimmer switches, sockets or relays, it can be used to automatically turn lights on when you return home for example.

Passive Infra-Red (PIR) SensorFor those occasions when the lights only need to be on when a person is present, the LightwaveRF PIR sensor can switch lights or power sockets on or off only when movement is detected. For instance, turn night-time landing lights off when everyone’s gone to bed, and on again if the PIR sensor signals that someone’s up and about again!

Dusk to Dawn SensorThe LightwaveRF dusk to dawn sensor is a portable and weather-proof wireless sensor which can be positioned outdoors to measure the ambient light level. That means it can be used, for instance, to turn on security lighting or porch/driveway lights when dusk falls, but off again when dawn breaks, saving the energy lost when ‘night-time only’ lights are left on during daylight hours.
