DESCRIPTION
February 16: You will need to wear khakis and polo shirt to school. We could have a special visitor to come and visit the school. The first week of March is Read Across America. You will be signed up to read to a class in the school. Go ahead and get a picture book that you enjoy and PRACTICE! I will give you times and classrooms at the next meeting. Airwalk won’t be on March 14 because of HCHS Beauty Walk. We will reschedule and let you know date ASAP.

Warm Up:

• Participation in a group sponsored by MES Honor Club. Students can sign up for one group:

• Membership cost $25 per year.
Required You, as a member of MES Honor Club, are required to attend ALL night time events at MES.
Your Honor Club polo shirt must be worn to any extra activities on and off campus as well as any night time activities.
You will sign up for one of the following committees to help you fulfill your community service hours. Once you sign up, you can’t change! These committees will meet after school so BE PREPARED!

Nursing Home Stay to go second Wednesday of month
Homework Assistance Stay 1 Monday a month to help with After School
Big Brother/Big Sister Visit during school and help if needed. Meet on first Wednesday of every month at 2 pm.

Walk to Nursing Home the second Wednesday of every month. For February, you will need to make a Valentine Card to take to a resident and be prepared to sit and chat. Parents will need to pick you up by 4:30 pm.

Get with Mrs. Martin and arrange to stay one Monday each month to help with homework. You can be picked up by parents by 4:45 pm.

You will be given a child from a lower grade classroom to go and visit during your Compass Lab time at least once a week. You will then turn a sheet to Ms. Roberts teacher box telling exactly what you and that child did together.
Big Brother/Big Sister
We need 3 girls to start getting trained with the school store. You will begin training Monday.
We need 3 students to start getting trained as greeters for the morning. You will begin Monday and Mr. Garner will orientate you.
We need 3 students to start getting trained at PE helpers for Coach Gurley and Butler in the morning. You will start Monday getting trained.
If you are snack cart and you are a 4th grader, you will also begin doing slushies in the afternoon. I need 3 more students to help. This is a one day a week job.
