Classroom Procedures:•School Calendar (in folder)

•Students can enter school beginning at 7:15 AM.

•Absenteeism/Tardiness• Only 4 parent notes per semester- the

following absences must be documented with a doctor’s note

• Considered tardy at 8:01 AM• 3 unexcused tardies result in a parent

meeting• 3 tardies = 1 unexcused absence• 3 or more consecutive days absent

requires a doctor's note

• Students can be dropped off at 7:15am---- no earlier

After School Program at Cartersville Primary School• Pre-K assistant teachers ride the bus• $10 registration fee• $10/day• BUS RETURNS…. $20 for the day!

8:15-8:40- Breakfast

8:40-8:50- Music & Movement

8:50-9:10- Story Time & Phonological Awareness

9:10-9:30- Small Group

9:30-10:45- Centers & Clean Up

10:45-11:15- Recess

11:15-11:30- Large Group Literacy

11:30-11:40- Wash Hands/ Prepare for Lunch

11:40-12:10- Lunch

12:10-12:25- Restroom Break

12:25-1:25- Rest Time

1:25-1:35- Story Time

1:35-1:45 Closing Activity

1:45-1:50- Pack Up

1:50-2:15- Dismissal

Transportation Bus:•Students inside the school system may ride the bus to/from school to PERMANENT ADDRESS ONLY! (address on file with school)•Wear yellow bus tags, as bracelet

Car Riders:• Dropped off at 7:15- 8:00 am• Picked up at 2:15 pm• Do not line up until 2:00 pm• All car riders will have a car tag

assigned to them. • Needs to be hanging on mirror

during car rider pick up.

WE NEED A ROOM PARENT!! If interested please sign up on the room

parent interest sheet! You will be contacted if you are our

room parent.

Important Items to send with your child on the first day of school: • Two Towels (Towels for naptime will be

sent home every other Friday to wash)

• Extra change of clothes to keep at school

• Book bag- (no wheels) big enough to fit towels and folder• PLEASE WRITE YOUR CHILD’S NAME ON EACH ITEM

AND SEND IN ON FIRST DAY!

• Fill out all paper work and turn into Mrs. Traci before you leave!

• Get your family picture taken!

• Let us know how your child will be going home on the first day of school and the following days!

• MAKE SURE YOUR CHILD WEARS THEIR NAME TAG ON THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL
