Mrs. Paul• Born and raised in South Bend, IN• Graduated from Butler University in 2005 with a Bachelor’s

degree in Elementary Education• Graduated from Ball State University in 2009 with a Master’s

degree in Mathematics Education• 9th Year Teaching 6th Grade Math at WIS • Married to Travis in July 2005• Has 4 year old daughter Chloe and 1 year old son Conner• Loves golfing, watching the Colts and Notre Dame football, and

spending time with my family

Homework Policy• I believe that math practice is very important

• I do not grade homework instead I grade a quick check of that lesson or a quiz/test of multiple lessons

Character Development• Three Midday Reflections= Afterschool Detention in

classroom until 3:15 pm (Tues-Thurs) with students phoning home to inform parents

• Another Three Midday Reflections = Another Afterschool Detention

• Another Three Midday Reflections = Thursday School in Office until 4:30 pm

• Another Three Midday Detentions = In School Suspension

Mrs. Hewitt• Born in Anderson, Indiana• Grew up and attended school in Daleville, IN • 20th year of teaching (first, second, third, and fourth grade

experience) First year teaching 6th grade Language Arts!• Graduated with BS in Elementary Education from Ball State

University • Master’s in Elementary Education• Married Jeff Hewitt in July of this year!• We have 5 kids and one dog!• Coach Varsity Volleyball at WHS• Loves family time!

NWEA• Two times a year: Fall and Spring• Fall NWEA is: August 27th, 28th, and

differentiate instruction especially during Rock Time.
