MaryAnn is a sought-after speaker, trainer and coach, and founder of Portland Conscious Women Entrepreneurs. MaryAnn teaches purpose-driven coaches and consultants the business and leadership skills they need to make a living doing work they love. She loves simplifying business for clients so they can deliver outstanding client results, build wealth, and shine more brightly doing more of what they do best. In addition to working with clients, she currently teaches the popular Business Foundations course at Mercy Corps Northwest. MaryAnn has 20 years combined experience in corporate management and entrepreneurship and holds an MBA in Sustainable Business from Bainbridge Graduate Institute at Pinchot University in Seattle.

Karla brings a 20-year career in corporate marketing and she believes social media should be easy, manageable, and fun. That’s why she teaches clients how to get out of overwhelm and into action using social media in 15 minutes a day to raise visibility and attract clients. Karla’s love of social media is a result of promoting food/wine/travel articles online. As the author of 500 articles and a non-fiction book she understands how to create compelling content. Karla recently relocated back to the Willamette Valley from San Francisco and is enjoying exploring Oregon’s wine regions and hiking.

Lisa HillWith 20+ years as a communications professional, Lisa is currently a freelance PR and Media Relations consultant in the natural food, beverage and tourism industries. She works daily with both traditional and digital media around the country on behalf of her clients to share their products and news. Current clients include Boyd Coffee Company, Ruby Jewel Ice Cream, Treehouse Chocolate, Providore Fine Foods, Seely Mint, Portland Japanese Garden and the Heathman Restaurant and Bar. A former high school English and journalism teacher, Lisa is currently on the boards of the

Portland Culinary Alliance and Late Night Library.

Amy is a writer, nonprofit co-founder and former marketing executive with expertise in message development, media relations, social media and nonprofit fundraising. Her career spans twenty years at LANE, a Portland-based, national public relations, investor relations and digital agency focused on building businesses. She is also co-founder of My Little Waiting Room®, an award-winning nonprofit organization that brings drop-in childcare to hospitals. Amy is active in the community, volunteering on a variety of business and nonprofit boards. She lives in Portland with her husband, son and two cats and is trying to learn how to sail.

Mary has extensive marketing background, having worked with both major brands and small businesses across the country. Mary has also managed many successful social media campaigns for brands like Laughing Planet, Farmers Ending Hunger, and Portland’s current Mayor, Charlie Hales. Once you’ve met Mary, you’ll quickly learn that her enthusiasm and positivity are simply infectious. Mary is truly passionate about crafting stellar brand experiences and helping businesses grow. When Mary’s not obsessing over clients and marketing campaigns, you can find her volunteering for Street Roots (a newspaper that creates income opportunities for those in poverty), promoting Portland’s emerging fashion industry, serving on the board of the Portland Social Media Club, and keeping fit by trying to stay at least one step ahead of her six

(!) children.

Erick MolanderErick is a lecturer in the Strategy and Innovation department and Director of Case Competitions at Boston University’s Questrom School of Business. He has held faculty positions at the Johns Hopkins University and Boston College. He has taught courses in entrepreneurship, strategy, international finance, global management and consulting. Erik is also a Managing Director in Mentor Capital Partners LLC an investment banking firm that focuses on early stage companies. He is an active angel investor. Prior to academia, Erik was a consultant at strategy consulting firms Adventis, and Mitchell Madison Group. He served clients in the consumer electronics, telecommunications, biotechnology and semiconductor industries. In industry, Mr. Molander held senior management positions at CSX Transportation and McCormick & Co. Mr. Molander holds a BA and MA in International Relations from the Johns Hopkins University.

Larry is a small business owner and financial advisor, as well as an instructor and small business mentor at Mercy Corps NW. Larry’s skills and experience are applicable to most types of small businesses. He advises on marketing issues such as determining target markets, initial market research and competitive analysis. In addition he has bookkeeping, POS, money management, inventory control, HR, customer management, and both wholesale and retail experience. Larry finds it rewarding to use my skills to help smaller businesses by assisting them with their business planning and

development.

Jeremy RoylanceJeremy is a photographer and digital media marketing strategist. Developing photos, videos, and media that make sense for your brand and your customers. From fine tuning your website content to hit the sweet spot in SEO or making sure you social media is landing with the people you need, he loves working to create engaging stories that land with clients and customers. He is also currently working on a documentary film exploring what it means to have faith in this modern age. When not wrangling his two young daughters and wacky dog, he loves camping and hiking the beautiful Northwest with his fantastic wife.

Marketing has been Mitzi’s focus for the entire 25 years of her professional career and she’s done nearly every aspect from advertising to demand generation; from writing to design; from printing to social media; and beyond. She’s worked for marketing agencies, high-tech companies, and non-profits, with the last 11 years as a marketing consultant where a typical day has her wearing multiple hats as she provides strategic insight, creative direction, and meticulous execution to anything and everything her clients toss her way. In addition to her marketing work, she’s a tireless advocate for

public education issues in the community.
