Digital Art CampTuesdays & Thursdays, July 11th through August 3rd, 5:00pm to 7:00pmInstructor: James ReimanClass Fee: $125Where: CNCC Bell Tower, 50 College Dr., Craig, CO- Computer Lab

In this camp, students will be introduced to the basic fundamentals of digital art. From basic page layout to the use of various tools including but not lim-ited to, digital brushes, present material pages, layer usage, and 3D drawing models. Campers will be given guidance on how to use some of the more complicated features of the program “clipstudio” which is used by some of the world’s top digital illustrators. They will complete three digital projects during the duration of the course which will vary in scope and difficulty.

Campers will participate in a variety of outdoor activities including an overnight trip to Dinosaur National Monument while also following the Leave No Trace curriculum. Campers will have the opportunity to apply math to real life while paddle boarding! Using mathematical calculations students will find that math can be used to maneuver in the water. Campers will also explore riparian areas on the White River. Along with the history of the White, the changes that occurred during the building of the Reservoir and the measures that where taken to avoid erosion.

Campers will learn the basics that every photographer needs to know to capture great images. Including how to use a DSLR camera and rules of com-position. Then we allow every child to explore their creative side and capture their unique perspectives that only kids seem to find and that we adults only wish we could. At the end of the camp each child will come away with the confidence to capture the world with their photographs in a meaningful and beautiful way. Daily activities are fun and designed to teach different aspects of photography. At the conclusion of the camp, your children will host an Open Gallery.

In this week-long camp, students ages 11-18 will collaborate on a short documentary film about a local subject of their choosing. Topics covered in class include: the history of documentary; camera and microphone op-eration; filming and sound recording techniques; documentary legalities; how to conduct an interview; and editing. Screening of finished film will occur on August 7th at 7pm at CNCC in Craig.
