Public Weight Management Service in St. Columcille’s Hospital Loughlinstown, Co. Dublin for people with a BMI >40. (or >35 with a obesity related co-morbidity e.g. diabetes). Multidisciplinary lifestyle and behaviour change programme delivered by a dietitian, physiotherapist and psychologist. It involves 9 appointments.

Park Run Parkrun is a series of 5k runs/walk held on Saturday mornings at 9.30am in areas of open space around Ireland. They are open to both runners and walkers, free, and are safe and easy to take part in.

ExWell is a medical programme, therefore any person attending MUST have been referred by letter from GP/Consultant. It consists of supervised exercise classes and offers the following programmes: 1. BreatheSmart 2. HeartSmart (cardiac rehab phase 4) 3. SmartSteps (vascular/claudication) 4. Diabetes Health Steps 5. Moving On (replaces MoveOn) cancer rehabilitation.

Programme: Age and Opportunity: Go For Life
Go for Life, an Age & Opportunity SPORTinitiative, is the national programme for sport and physical activity for older people in Ireland, and entails: Go for Life Games: sports fests and regional gamesand activities being played all over the country byvarious groups and organisations supported by Local Sports Partnerships. Go for Life Physical Activity Leaders (PALs): workshops designed to teach members of groupshow to lead activities and sports in their local clubs,groups and communities. Go for Life CarePALs: workshops for staff and volunteers in day and residential care settings empowering them to lead suitable physicalactivities with people in their care. National Grant Scheme: a small grant scheme open to local groups and clubs to promote increased participation in recreational sport andphysical activity.

Programme: Disability Inclusion Training
An introductory course designed to provide you with skills and ideas on how to adapt your sport, physical activity or physical education sessions to make them more inclusive for people with disabilities. Programme: Men on the Move
This is a FREE physical activity programme aimed at adult men who have been inactive for a sustained period and want to get back to exercising and improve their fitness levels in a sociable environment. Nordic Walking Workshops
Nordic walking is one of the most sociable and effective exercise technique's around. Suitable for everyone. Nordic walking works your upper and lower body at the same time, strengthening your back and abdominal muscles, legs and arms and reducing neck and shoulder tension, all while improving the health of your heart and lungs.

Fingal Festival of Football
An annual event run in conjunction with the FAI Development Officers. The event is a girls-only fun festival, open to teams aged U8-U13, which provides an opportunity to play for a club for the first time, or can be used as part of a pre-season for the more established teams. It is free to attend.

Go for Life Games A Fingal team has participated in this national event in DCU since 2012. The games involve Lobbers (adapted from boules), Flisk (adapted from horseshoe pitching) and Scidils (adaptation of ten-pin bowling with one skittle). A team is selected from the Go for Life League.

Physical Activity Leader
PAL is a physcial activity leader who is already part of a group or club and is willing to lead activities. PAL's lead their local group in short exercise routines, fun games, simple dances and sports such as pitch and toss. Groups may include active retirement groups, sports clubs, ICA groups or other social groups that meet regularly.

Sports Conditioning Is a specialised training module for children of all abilities, aimed at improving fundamental movement skill. These skills include loco- motor skills (hopping, skipping, jumping) manipulative skills (throwing, catching, kicking and striking) and body managment skills (balance, rolling, climbing and line walking).

Parents workshop The "healthy children" parents workshop is a 1 hour workshop for parents to inform them about physical activity and healthy eating practices for children. It gives information for parents on what constitutes healthy eating and physical activity as well as practical tips and videos to improve children's overall health and wellbeing.

Cricket Fingal County Sports in partnership with Cricket Leinster, has a Cricket Development Officer who is responsible for promoting grassroots cricket, developing the game across Fingal and supporting local clubs.

Rugby Fingal County Sports in partnership with Leinster Rugby has a community Rugby officer (CRO) who is responsible for co-ordinating the club community rugby officers and promoting the sport in the community. Staff Tennis Fingal County Council delivers a 6 week staff training programme every year. This is a fun introductory programme and a fantastic way to keep fit during lunch time.

Park Tennis Park Tennis provide tennis coaching at a grassroots level, nationwide in 165 locations, during the summer holidays, for boys and girls aged between 5 and 17 years. Dublin and Cork operate all year round. The aim of this service is to provide cost-effective and fun filled tennis coaching and organised play to as many children as possible from all social backgrounds, especially those that are not exposed to the game.

The “We Can Quit” is a free, 12 week, stop smoking support programme for women only, offering group support, one to one support and free Nicotine Replacement Therapy. It is run at key times during the year in a number of locations in North Dublin and run in partnership with the Irish Cancer Society, HSE, Local Area Partnerships and local pharmacies.

The Northside Partnership deliver a number of 6 week structured Tobacco Cessation groups in the following locations: Dublin City University, Doris Bui, Coláiste Dhulaigh, Kish House, Bunratty Drive and Library Ilac Centre.
The Northside Partnership & Empower run a Smoke Free Homes Project which is aimed at encouraging homes to have designated rooms in their home smoke free. They can apply at 3 award levels: bronze, silver and gold.
The Recovery HUB offer a number of structured Tobacco cessation groups for the mental health service users. Any day hospital, residential or acute setting in CHODNCC can refer their service users to this programme.

Primary Care Audiology Services The adult audiology service is provided by a team of audiologists. They assess clients with hearing difficulties and support them through each stage of their care pathway, from initial assessment to hearing aid fitting and follow-up care.

Primary Care Flu Vaccination and Pneumococcal Vaccine
Seasonal flu is a highly infectious viral illness of the respiratory tract that can be life threatening. Vaccination is strongly recommended for those with long-term health conditions such as diabetes, heart and lung disease, including COPD. People over 18 may attend their GP or Pharmacist for vaccination. Those without a 'Medical Card' or 'GP Visit Card' will be charged for the consultation but the vaccine is free. Healthcare workers are also strongly advised to get the vaccine.
Adults aged 65 and over and those aged over 2 and under 65 with chronic lung or heart disease, or with type 2 diabetes are advised to get the pneumococcal vaccine. A booster vaccine is recommended 5 years after the first vaccination but depending on age and risk factors a person may require 1, 2 or 3 doses of PPV.
