    This guide contains the specications for use

    of the Microsoft Certication logos.

    The Microsoft Certication Programprovides individuals with opportunitiesto express their expertise in Microsoft

    technologies.

    Microsoft Certication logo(s) may not beused in any way other than as specied inthese guidelines.     The logo

    Minimum sizeIn print, the Microsoft Certied logo shouldnever appear smaller than .7” (18 mm).On-screen, it must appear at least 44 pixelswide.

    Clear spaceWe respect the logo by giving it some s pace.The minimum clear space that must surroundthe logo is equivalent to the height of itscapital M.

    Logo art les (PDF or EPS)We use PDFs as our standard vector leformat. Today’s PDF is versatile a nd provides

    better screen preview and compatibility withother programs than EPS les. PDF les arefully scalable and work like .AI or .EPS les.PDF les can be placed in InDesign as a linkedgraphic or opened in Illustrator. We do notoffer .AI or .EPS les.

    Logo Builder

    Logo Builder is a tool to create MicrosoftCertication logo artwork based uponcertications you have obtained.

    The tool will allow you the flexibility to buildmultiple Microsoft Certication logo(s) todemonstrate multiple areas of expertise.

    The Microsoft Certication logo may be usedonly as provided by Microsoft. Except for size,which is subject to the restrictions in theseguidelines, the Microsoft Certication logo maynot be altered in any ma nner, includingproportions, colors, elements, etc., or animated,morphed, or otherwise distorted in perspectiveor dimensional appearance.

    From time to time, Microsoft reserves the rightto update the Microsoft Certication logoartwork. You should use only the currentMicrosoft Certication logo artwork. Earlierversions of Microsoft Certication logo artworkmay not be used.

    Certication logo usage

    MCPs have several choices of how to indicate

    a certication on business cards, letterhead,resumés, websites, emails, and marketingmaterials.

    MCPs may indicate only the certication areasthat they have achieved in the program.

    Logo usageMCPs must have accepted the terms of the

    Microsoft Certication Program Agreement and be in good standing under suchagreement before using any of the MicrosoftCertication logos as described in theseguidelines.

    If you are no longer a MCP in good standingor do not agree to the terms of the MicrosoftCertication Program Agreement, you mustimmediately discontinue the use of MicrosoftCertication logo(s).

    Microsoft reserves the right to spot-check allmaterials bearing Microsoft Certicationlogo(s) and may periodically send out requests

    for samples. MCPs must correct any decienciesin the use of the Microsoft Certication logo(s).Refusal to correct such deciencies or to ceasepublication or distribution will result inrevocation of the right to use the MicrosoftCertication logo(s).

    The integrity of all elements of the MicrosoftCertication logo(s) must be maintained.Microsoft developed these rules in order toprotect the integrity of the MicrosoftCertication Program, and to ensure thatMicrosoft certications are not misrepresented.

    General usage rules

    • Microsoft Certication logo(s) are used only to identify the specic certication areas tha

    have been achieved in the Microsoft Certication Program, and for no other purpose.

    • MCP’s personal name, trade name or company name must appear on any materials

    where the Microsoft Certication logo is used.

    • Microsoft Certication logo(s) cannot appear larger or more prominent than your name,

    product or service name, trademark or service mark, logo, or trade or company name.

    • MCPs may not use Microsoft Certication logo(s) in a manner that creates

    potential confusion as to the source of MCP’s services or ownership of the Microsoft

    Certication logo.

    • Microsoft Certication logo(s) may not be displayed in any manner that suggests the MC

    is an employee of Microsoft.

    • Microsoft Certication logo(s) or “Microsoft” may not be displayed as part of the MCP’s

    name, company name, logo, or trademark.

    • Microsoft Certication name or logo(s) may not be used in any manner that expresses omight imply Microsoft’s afliation, sponsorship, endorsement, certication, or approval,

    other than as set forth by the Microsoft Certication Program Agreement.

    General usage rules • The Microsoft Certication name, logo(s) or “Microsoft” name may not be included inMCP’s name, trade or business name, domain name, product or service name, logo,

    trade dress, design, slogan, or other trademarks.

    • The Microsoft Certication logo(s) may not be used as a design feature on any

    MCP materials.

    • Microsoft Certication name or logo(s) may not be used on any product, book,

    packaging or other materials, except as identied in these guidelines or without the

    express written consent of Microsoft.

    • Microsoft Certication logo(s) shall be attributed to Microsoft Corporation in all

    materials where they are used, with the following attribution clause: “Microsoft is a

    registered trademark of Microsoft Corporation in the United States and other countries.”

    This attribution is not required on business cards.

    • The Microsoft Certication logo may not be translated or otherwise localized into any

    other language. Any localized versions of the Microsoft Certication logo must be

    provided by Microsoft.
