NEWS AND NOTES Stars Aligned: Tonight’s ballgame at Oil City Stadium in Whit- ing, Ind., features the 2011 Midwest Collegiate League All-Star Game. 38 players from the Will County CrackerJacks, South- land Vikings, Rockford Foresters and Chicago Zephyrs make the trip to Whiting tonight to team up to play one of the most highly-anticipated games of the summer. e Midwest Col- legiate League’s North All-Stars will feature players from the Rockford Foresters and Chicago Zephyrs and the South All- Stars will be made up of players from the Will County Cracker- Jacks and Southland Vikings. League Update: With just under two weeks remaining in the regular season, the Rockford Foresters (18-7) sit atop the divi- sion standings by 2.5 games over the Will County CrackerJacks (15-9). e Foresters, winners of eight straight MCL games, also lead the third-place Southland Vikings (9-15) by 8.5 games and the last-place Chicago Zephyrs (4-15) by 11 games. e 2011 MCL Playoffs begin on July 26. ree best-of-three series will decide the 2011 Midwest Collegiate League champion. NEWS AND NOTESStars Aligned: Tonight’s ballgame at Oil City Stadium in Whit-ing, Ind., features the 2011 Midwest Collegiate League All-Star Game. 38 players from the Will County CrackerJacks, South-land Vikings, Rockford Foresters and Chicago Zephyrs make the trip to Whiting tonight to team up to play one of the most highly-anticipated games of the summer. The Midwest Col-legiate League’s North All-Stars will feature players from the Rockford Foresters and Chicago Zephyrs and the South All-Stars will be made up of players from the Will County Cracker-Jacks and Southland Vikings.

League Update: With just under two weeks remaining in the regular season, the Rockford Foresters (18-7) sit atop the divi-sion standings by 2.5 games over the Will County CrackerJacks (15-9). The Foresters, winners of eight straight MCL games, also lead the third-place Southland Vikings (9-15) by 8.5 games and the last-place Chicago Zephyrs (4-15) by 11 games. The 2011 MCL Playoffs begin on July 26. Three best-of-three series will decide the 2011 Midwest Collegiate League champion.
