The All-Star Game Matters The All-Star Game honors the baseball fan. Each position is voted on by the public. Since 2003, the pennant winner of the league winning the All-Star Game has been awarded home field advantage for the upcoming World Series. The American League has won every All-Star Game since 2003, but the National League is getting close! Last year’s game went to 15 innings- the longest and most competitive All-Star game in the history of baseball!
