    other agencies and organizations as listed in theLand Development Regulations o the City Code,or the property o ners involved. Proposals ordesignation shall include a completed application

    sTeP TWOThe Planning Department prepares a preliminaryevaluation report ith recommendations orconsideration by the Board.

    sTeP ThreeThe Historic Preservation Board considers the

    preliminary evaluation to determine i proceedingith a designation report is arranted.

    The designation report is an historical andarchitectural analysis o the proposed districtor site. The report:

    Describes the historic, architectural and/orarcheological signi icance o the property or

    subject area proposed or Historical Site orDistrict designation;

    Recommends Evaluation Guidelines tobe used by the Board to evaluate theappropriateness and compatibility oproposed Developments a ecting thedesignated Site or District; and,

    will serve as an attachment to the LandDevelopment Regulations o the City Code.

    sTeP FOUrThe City Commission is noti ied o the Boardsdecision and the initial boundaries proposed ordesignation. within 60 days o the vote o theHistoric Preservation Board to direct the PlanningDepartment to prepare a designation report, theCity Commission may, by a ive-sevenths vote, denyor modi y the proposed request or designation.

    THEhisTOric DesignaTiOn PROCESS

    The Planning Department prepares, updatesand maintains neighborhood and city ideplans and technical data or the City pursuantto Florida Statutes. This division is urtherdivided into our distinct sections: planning,zoning, design and historic preservation.

    The planning processes involve loo ing atthe city long term and revie ing the landdevelopment regulations and comprehensiveplan rom time to time, suggesting changesto those documents that may be required
