tomers in the salon who also mentioned satisfaction and top-of-the-line hair products, hospitality, and the competence of the staff. Divas Hair Studio has three hair cutters and two assistants and is located in the K-Mart Plaza in East Stroudsburg.

Divas services range from caucasion to ethnic hair styles including weaves, hair coloring, and permanent makeup.

Heidi likes to say, “You come in as yourself and leave as a Diva.”

Her customers seem to agree. Contributing to the ambiance of the salon is its sleek modern design. Divas also features products from Mizani, Affirm, CHI, Joico, Alfapart, and Alter Ego.

But apart from the hair styles, the thing Heidi’s customers really seem to appreciate is the quality of service. Heidi’s extensive formal training in Puerto Rico and New York City ensures that her customers leave happy. Her personal warmth combined with the contemporary elegance of the sa-lon is a good formula, not only for satisfying women’s hair styling needs, but for delighting husbands as well.

Recently, Heidi’s sister, Laly, opened Divas II in East Stroudsburg where most of the same cutting-edge hair salon services are available as well.

ivas Hair Studio is very aptly named. Recently a woman visiting the area came in to ask owner Heidi Clem-ente if she could style her hair like

young pop-music idol Rihanna. All Heidi said was, “Don’t worry, you’re going to get it.” When she was done, the woman’s tip made it clear that she was thrilled with the result. She left to show her husband who was waiting outside and as Heidi says, “That woman looked so good her husband came in to give me an extra $20.” Not surprisingly, men find hair sexy.

“I love it. This is my passion,” says Heidi. “I’ve been doing this for ten years and I enjoy uplift-ing women who need our services.”
