MOTHER’S DAY
The mysteries of the Rosary draw our attention to events in the life of Jesus – but how often, too, might they encourage our reflection on Mary’s presence in those moments in His life?
She was present in times of wonder and hope (Joyful mysteries), and in his life’s work of fulfilling the plan of His heavenly Father (Luminous mysteries). She was with Him in His sufferings (Sorrowful mysteries) and in His ultimate victory and now His eternal happiness (Glorious mysteries).
Every mother gives life and shares the hopes of her children. Every mother hopes that her children will know and accomplish the plan God has for them in this life, and suffers with her children in their sorrows. Every mother and child pray to be together forever in God’s heavenly kingdom, enjoying eternal life and peace.
Today let us pray for our mothers – living and deceased – who have shared with us in our lives the same maternal love that Mary poured out from her heart on her beloved son Jesus!

Los misterios del Rosario dirigen nuestra atención a eventos de la vida de Jesús. También nos animan a reflexionar sobre la presencia de María en esos momentos.
Ella estuvo presente en tiempos de admiración y esperanza (misterios Gozosos), y en la obra de su vida de cumplir a plenitud el plan de Su Padre Celestial (misterios Luminosos). Ella estuvo con Él en Sus sufrimientos (misterios Dolorosos) y en su victoria final y ahora Su felicidad eterna (misterios Gloriosos).
Cada madre da vida y comparte las esperanzas de sus hijos. Cada madre anhela que sus hijos conozcan y cumplan
el plan de Dios en sus vidas, y sufren con las penas de sus hijos. Cada madre e hijo rezan para estar por siempre juntos en el reino celestial de Dios, disfrutar de la vida eterna y la paz.
Recemos hoy por nuestras madres – vivas y fallecidas – quienes han compartido en nuestras vidas, el mismo amor maternal ¡que María ha derramado de su corazón sobre su amado hijo Jesús!

This glorious liturgical season will culminate with the celebration of Pentecost, “the Birthday of the Church.” Pentecost: Sunday, May 23Corpus Christi: Sunday, June 6May we continue to grow through the celebrations of these Great 50 Days to bear in our lives and in our world the fruits of all the joy we will share, called to mission just as the first disciples were. We are an Easter people, let us rejoice and be glad!

K-12 FAITH FORMATION PROGRAM 2021-22(INCLUDING SACRAMENT PREPARATION)The 2021-22 Faith Formation Program will again be family-centered and will include:• age-appropriate materials focused on the Sunday Gospel
reading;• supplemental at-home materials for children/teens
preparing for Eucharist or Confirmation;• several parent gatherings at GSCC to provide support and
guidance in the home-based program (children will be added when possible);

MES DE MAYO, MES DE LA VIRGEN¡Acerquémonos mas a María en este mes!• Los jueves durante el mes de mayo: Nuestros dos
grupos de la Legión de Maria invitan a rezar el Rosario antes de la Misa de 7:30pm. Nos reuniremos en el campo al frente de la iglesia a las 6:30pm, con los nuevos carteles de los Misterios del Rosario.
• El domingo, 16 de mayo, después de la Misa de 2pm: El Padre Jeb invita a todos a salir en procesión al campo al frente de la iglesia para rezar el Santo Rosario como familia parroquial.
