May 2015 We are busy bees!
What a wonderful April we had here at Ivy League! Our Childrens
Art Expo and Open House was a HUGE success! Through the generosity
of our families, teaching staff and local community, we were
able
to raise over $500 for the Make-a-Wish foundation, as well as
raise money for our Teacher Appreciation
celebration next week. The children and staff did an amazing job
on the artwork. We so enjoyed having
author Trace Wilkins Francis here with her special friends. If
you wish to order Traces book The Real Life Adventures of Jo Jo
Bean, please take an order form from the front desk. You can also
visit the office
for a Picture Day order form. Picture Day is May 11th. All order
forms need to be dropped off by that
morning if you wish your child to have pictures taken. We have
also begun registration for Summer Camp
2015. Our theme this year is Inventors Workshop! The students
will be experimenting, analyzing, creating and most of all, having
fun! Please register your child ASAP as space is limited. All
Camp
Activity Fees are due by Friday, June 26th. Feel free to start
paying them off now so your child will be all
set for the summer.

Mothers Day Breakfast
On Friday, May 8th, we will
be having a special Mothers Day Breakfast for all of our
beautiful Moms! There will
be delicious breakfast items
and beverages for all of the
Moms to take with them on
the go. Please join us on
Friday morning during drop-
off as we celebrate the
wonderful women that make
up our Ivy League
community. Grandmothers
and other mother figures
welcome, as well!
Picture Day will be May 11th. The Pre K class will be
taking Cap & Gown pictures
as well as a graduation class
picture. All other students are
invited to take Spring
pictures by completing a
picture day order form. See
the office to pick up a form.

Star Student of the Month Preschool One
Kaleah Charles Kaleah is the star of our class! She is very
bright, very kind and is always willing to help the teachers. She
loves to lead Circle Time and will encourage the other students to
participate. She will lead the class in our favorite songs and
completes all of the activities we assign her to do. She is very
loving and sweet and nice to her classmates. Ms. Emma, Ms. Gladys
and Ms. Whitney
Our May Teacher of the Month is Ms. Victoria Lubin. Ms. Vicky is
the Lead Teacher in our Columbia Crawlers C classroom. Vicky is a
very valuable member of our team! She arrives each day with a smile
and ready to receive the children, who absolutely adore her! Vicky
is willing to help out with whatever is needed in our school. She
is very patient, kind and loving with the children. She is a
pleasure to work with and her fellow co-workers always have great
things to say about her! Vicky is very hard-working, reliable and
dependable. She strives to create the best learning environment for
the Infants in her class and plans educational and fun sensory
activities
each day. Great work, Ms. Vicky!
Health Corner Please welcome our new Cook Mr. John Lopes. John
is a long-time member of our Ivy League community, as a parent, and
now he is a member of our team! John holds a degree in Culinary
Arts, as well as has completed the Food Managers Certificate
course. John also has an extensive background in retail management
and business operations. John has already been making some positive
changes in the kitchen and is adding some flair to our Menu. He is
very friendly and approachable, so feel free to say hello when you
see
him!
