MAXIMUM EXPOSURE• “Tourism is the most important sector in the world”.

Taleb Rifai, Secretary General of UNWTO

• Tourism is the gateway to economic growth, stronger international relations, and cultural and social development.

• Successful tourism development requires rigorous market research and analysis, strategic planning, investment, and promotion.

• Our co-ordinated approach is routed in practical experience of business and investment, and capitalises on both our local knowledge and global reach.

THE GDS MODEL

Maximum Exposure has spent 10 years developing, testing, and improving the Grand Development Scheme (GDS) so that countries and regions can realise the full potential of tourism in its widest economic, social, cultural, and diplomatic contexts.

Market Research & Analysis

We assess the products, potential, and problems in-country, and identify the perceptions, preferences, and key communication channels in key target markets. We use a mixture of official statistics and our own data, both qualitative and quantitative, and analyse it using scientific methods to build up a clear, current tourism picture.

Strategic Goals

Having identified barriers to growth, and how to solve them, we work with the client to set a series of strategic goals which are specific, tangible, and achievable. Success will be measured against these goals.

Roadmap & Action Plan

We ask two questions: Where are we going? And how are we going to get there? It is essential to engage both public and private sector stakeholders at this stage because successful implementation demands teamwork.

Implementation

The final phase of the GDS - implementation - will be dictated by our research, strategic goals, and budget. It will typically focus on three areas: capacity building in-country; creating awareness and interest abroad; and raising the investment required to make it happen.
