Master of Translation Studies

Gain world-class specialised translation training. Designed for graduates pursuingbilingual and multilingual careers, this professional course is the first of its kind tobe taught in Western Australia.

Master of Translation Studies current student - Keiko Nottle "I am originally from Yokohama in Japan. I currently work as a Registered Nurse in Perth. I decided to enrol in the Master of Translation Studies at UWA this year because becoming a professional translator/interpreter has been a long term interest for me. It was exciting to hear UWA decided to open this course for Japanese specification for the first time this year. UWA is a well-equipped and a world recognised university, therefore, I believe that this course will lead me to become a knowledgeable and skillful translator, through the high standard of teaching. My ideal career goal is to be able to contribute to medical/nursing research in both Australia and Japan through my nursing knowledge and translation skills. I highly recommend Perth as a place to study as it has beautiful weather and nature with a taste of the modern city. Beaches and the river are accessible and nature parks are everywhere. These are the things I love most about this city."
