MASTER OF EDUCATION IN ART EDUCATION Call for Applications to Enroll • 2018-2020 Cohort An MEd cohort in Art Education at the University of Victoria is set to begin in July, 2018. The programme offers an exciting experience that is unique in Canada because of our intense studio focus. Students are assigned their own space to work in a shared studio in each summer session. The MEd program (Community-based), offered as a three-summers cohort program, is an advanced degree intended for teachers who wish to expand their competencies in facilitating studio-based art activities at the elementary and secondary school levels as well as in post-secondary institutions and community settings. The program centres on student development to broaden and deepen studio experience, to engage in advanced studies, and to understand the dual roles of artist and teacher. Individual creative exploration is emphasized in all courses. Applicants must have experience in classroom or community art education and present a portfolio of personal artwork. Interested? 1.)
