ABOUT US TRAININGMartor has been a global leader in the manufacture of high quality knives and blades for almost 70 years.Manufacturing is done in Solingen, Germany, better known as ‘The Knife Capital of the World’. In 1976, Martor developed thefirst Spring Loaded Retractable (SLR) safety cutter bearing the GS mark. This knife, the Martor Profi, soon became the standardof safety in European industry. The Profi was the first safety cutter designed to protect users from cutting tool injuries. Today,Martor produces almost 300 di�erent styles of knives and cutters specific to industry and its needs.

Another first, was the introduction in the year 2000 of the patented line of Smart Knives that feature automatic bladeretraction regardless of the position of the slide. Unlike most retractable cutters on the market, the blade of theseSmart Knives retracts into the handle whenever contact with the work piece is lost. This safety feature cannot be overriddenunder normal use.

Martor also manufactures an extensive line of concealed blade safety cutters. These cutters feature unexposed blades that protect the user and minimize waste, all without normally requiring the worker to wear any form of PPE.

Fully Automatic RetractableSmart Knives

These ambidextrous safety cutters feature Martor’s patentedSmart Knife automatic blade retraction. The blade on thesecutters retracts safely into the handle as soon as contact is lostwith the material being cut or the cut is completed, even if theuser keeps the slide pushed forward. Keeping the slider in theforward position is not necessary to perform the cut, nor will itoverride the safety feature. Under normal use, the blade willalways retract.Similar unique action occurs with our trigger activated knives.The blade retracts as soon as contact is lost with the surface,even if the trigger is depressed.These knives incorporate an incredibly easy and safe bladechanging system with no tools required.
