The camp was in the middle of nowhere in beautiful countryside. The children stayed in tents, there was no electricity and no wi-fi. She started to get used to 1 the daily schedule and learning about the scouts when something strange happened. One sunny afternoon after lunch, she was doing the dishes in the camp kitchen. All of a sudden, she heard a horrible scream from the river next to the kitchen. Martina and her friends decided to find out 2 what happened. When they got to the river, they couldn’t believe their eyes. On the other bank of the river there were two camp leaders lying on the ground. “Help us, please! We are bleeding 3 !” they screamed. They slipped 4 on a stone, fell down and hurt their legs and arms. They were covered with blood. Martina was shocked and started to panic. “What do we do? We must call 112!” she shouted. Then she I realized 5 that they were in the forest and there was no signal. But her friends behaved calmly: “We must cross the river and help them.” They ran back to the kitchen to grab 6 a first aid kit 7 . When they got to the other bank, they helped the leaders and gave them first aid. But then Martina noticed 8 that the blood looked different than normal blood. The leaders were not hurt at all and the blood was fake! Then Martina understood. She realized that scouts usually have first aid training at camps. She was very relieved 9 ! She learned how to give first aid, too. She joined the Czech Red Cross and now she can help other people in need.
