Installation

After installing the MarketPlace Connect (MPC) extension, your product catalog will be automatically synced (you will see a spinner during this process). The first full sync can take some time depending on the number of products and size of images in your catalog. However, once the first full sync has completed, incremental changes are synchronized very quickly.

Amazon & eBay configuration and listing is done via the ‘Manage Listings’ screen which displays a synchronized copy of your product catalog in a spreadsheet style grid layout allowing easy control of Amazon/eBay. It’s very easy to make configuration changes before or after listing: All the Amazon/eBay variables can be found in columns on the grid. Column groups can be expanded and collapsed to show the full options available e.g. expanding the eBay price column you’ll see how to use MPC to set a different price on eBay to that in your catalog. To avoid displaying too many columns by default some columns are hidden. You have full control over what columns to display by clicking the column chooser button at the top (right of the Amazon/eBay button). Changes can be made individually or in bulk to all or a subset of products (use the filter buttons to derive your subset of products to make changes to). The white eBay button commits the changes to Amazon/eBay (or saves the changes in the grid if you haven’t yet connected Amazon/eBay).

Bulk Updates using XpressGrid Multi Edit

One of the most powerful time saving features of Codisto is the Multi Edit feature of XpressGrid.

Activating Multi Edit In the left column of XpressGrid you will find a check box. When ticked, the product is selected. XpressGrid Multi Edit is active as soon as 2 or more products are ticked.

Multi Edit Controls Once Multi Edit is activated, each column has a multi edit control as shown below. Edits made via these controls will update all the selected listings with the information entered.

Filtering It is possible to filter products by clicking the filter icon to the left of the column name in the header row. For a detailed explanation please see Filtering with XpressGrid

Select All Clicking the check box in the header row will select all products if no filter is applied otherwise only the filter results are selected. This makes it very easy to update many products matching certain criteria at the same time.

Filtering with XpressGrid

XpressGrid makes it very easy to work with a selected subset of products by filtering.

How to filter

Clicking on the filter icon to the left of the column name opens the filter dialog for that column.

Searching Entering a search term reduces the result list as you type.

Selecting results By default all results are selected. You can further reduce the result list by clearing the checkbox on results you want to exclude. Clearing the checkbox on the (Select All Search Results) row at the top of the list will clear all the results, making manual selection of a subset of the result list easy.

Applying the filter Clicking OK in the filter dialog will update XpressGrid to show only the selected products.

Filtering multiple columns Multiple columns can be filtered. Just repeat the process on a second and subsequent column to further reduce the products shown in XpressGrid.

Clearing the filter(s)

When a column is filtered, the filter icon is blue (instead of white for an unfiltered column). Click it, then click Clear Filter to remove the filter from the column.

What can be filtered Most columns can be filtered. The only fields that can't are the Image, Description and Item Specifics columns.

How to list on Amazon List on Amazon with just a few clicks The images below are from Magento but the same concepts apply to WooCommerce.

Set Amazon Status to Enabled

The Status column turns into an orange magnifying glass icon.

Click the search icon to initiate an ASIN (Amazon Standard Identification Number) search.

If an exact match is found

If one of the listings matches your product exactly, click the button. It

will turn green on hover. This places the listing's ASIN into the ASIN field for the product you enabled, at which point it is ready to list.

If a possible match is found

Click the button to see the listing in a new browser tab. If you determine this listing matches your product, follow the "If an exact match is found" steps. If not, continue searching or follow the "If no match is found" steps.

If no match is found

If you can't find a match for your product, click the button, which will open the category selection dialog.

Click the icon to show the category children, until you can see the leaf categories, which can be selected.

Select the appropriate leaf category, then click the Select Category button.

Your product will require a UPC unless your account is exempt. You can attempt to

list by clicking the button. You will get a red link in the Status column if there are any errors (such as UPC missing), otherwise the link will turn blue indicating the listing has been created successfully.

How to list on eBay

List on eBay with just a few clicks The images below are from Magento but the same concepts apply to WooCommerce.

1) Choose your products to configure and list You can quickly and easily use filters to choose products you wish to perform an action on: In this example, the Name column is highlighted, but you may filter by any column with the filter icon (Pictured below)

Now edit the filter that you would like to apply. You can type a filter term (Compact keyword was entered in this example).

You may also select from options presented if there are more than one possible result to filter by (In the example below there are multiple products matching the 'Co' filter in the Name column).

2) Bulk editing products You will now see a list of filtered products on the screen matching the filter term. To bulk edit these products click the tick box at the top of the grid on the left (hi-lighted in blue)

Once you have activated bulk edit mode (by clicking the select all tick box at the top or selecting more than 1 row) you will see the Bulk Edit row appear (shown below). In the interactive demonstration, it greys out other fields and makes it clear to see the Enabled/Disabled buttons which are used to determine if the eBay Listings should be published for these products. Outside of the demonstration, you can edit other columns in the Bulk Edit header row - such as modifying eBay price rules for all selected products.

Click the "Enabled" button.

You will see a hint that selecting Disabled will end any items currently listed on eBay.

Now that you have selected the bulk action of enabling eBay listings for the filtered products, you can confirm what the results of the action will be by checking the bulk action Preview.

Click update to confirm that you are ready to enable the selected products.

To send the changes to eBay (listing the enabled products) click the eBay button.

While the listings are being created on eBay you will notice a flashing blue icon next to the Enabled column (see below). This indicates that the Listing is currently being created.

When the listing process has completed you will see a blue icon if it was successful (see below) or a red icon indicating error conditions. If you click the blue icon it will take you directly to your eBay listing. Clicking the red icon will present you with errors that eBay has returned (such as PayPal account not connected).

Congratulations you have now created listings in 2 simple steps! If you would like to preview your listings before they are created click the Preview button on the right of the grid.

Setting Amazon shipping rules

Shipping settings are found under the FBA or Merchant Fulfilled column group, which is shown collapsed by default to save on screen space.

Click the <> icon to expand the column group.

FBA or Merchant Fulfilled Select whether the product will be fulfilled by you (Merchant) or if Amazon is warehousing and fulfilling the product - Fulfilment by Amazon (FBA)

Shipping Group Not relevant for FBA. For merchant fulfilled, select the Shipping Group defined within Amazon Seller Central to apply to this product.

Dispatch Time Not relevant for FBA. The number of days after receipt of an order that the product will be dispatched.

Setting shipping rules (eBay)

Collapsed View

When the Shipping columns are collapsed (the default), a summary of the shipping settings is shown. Clicking on the value or the <> icon in the header row will expand the Shipping columns.

Expanded View

Cost Type Flat

When Flat is selected (the default), the item will be listed with flat rate shipping as defined in the Cost field.

Calculated (Magento / WooCommerce)

When selected as the shipping method, the freight rules as defined in Magento are used. The default listing template includes a shipping widget with a post code field, which displays results once a post code is entered.

Calculated (eBay)

This method uses the postage rates available on eBay. No shipping widget is displayed on the listing because the shipping calculation happens on eBay.

Service

If Flat or Calculated (eBay) is selected for the Cost Type, the Service column specifies the service by which the item will be sent. The list of services for Calculated (eBay) will typically be shorter than the list of services

for Flat, because not all services are dynamically calculated on eBay. If Calculated (Magento / WooCommerce) are selected, the Service field will be set to N/A as it is not applicable.

Cost

If Flat Cost Type is selected, the Cost column specifies the shipping cost for the first item.

Additional

If Flat Cost Type is selected, the Additional column specifies the shipping cost for each additional item (from the same listing).

Handling Time

Number of days between receipt of order and despatch. This value is factored into the estimated delivery date range displayed on eBay.

Managing Orders

This article applies to version 1.1.64 and above. Get the latest plugin

To access the orders screen, click eBay | Codisto -> Manage Orders in the top Magento admin menu

The orders screen allows you to view all eBay orders, manually send orders into Magento and configure automatic order sending and feedback settings.

The Order Grid

The order grid allows you to view all eBay orders and their current sent status (with any errors) and manually send orders to the Magento Orders screen.

Push - Send/Leave - the only action in the grid allows you to manually send orders into Magento.

Push Status - there are 3 states for this column, Sent, Not Sent or Error. When an item is in the error state, it means Codisto was not able to send the order to Magento. The label can be clicked for more information about the error.

Order Settings

This controls when orders will be sent to the Magento Order screen, if at all.

Automatically Send Orders

Always - this will send all eBay orders to Magento

Codisto Managed - this will send orders to Magento that contain Codisto

managed products. Any order with products not managed by Codisto will not

show in the Magento orders.

Off/Manual - this will turn off automatic sending completely. You can still

manually push orders from the grid.

Only send orders when

This applies to only when Automatic Send is set to Always or Codisto Managed

Buyer has Paid - orders will only show in Magento when the buy has paid

for the goods

Buyer has Committed to Buy - as soon as the order has been placed,

regardless of payment status, it will appear in Magento

Automatic sending of Amazon orders

Every time a buyer buys and pays one of your listings, an order is automatically added to Magento / WooCommerce.

Order Settings It is possible to change under which circumstances orders are pushed, or even disable it completely.

All All Amazon orders will be automatically pushed to Magento / WooCommerce

Codisto Managed Only orders for listings managed by Codisto (Associated with an ASIN and set to Amazon Status of Enabled in Manage Listings) will be automatically pushed to Magento / WooCommerce

Never No orders will be automatically pushed.

Manually pushing orders If there are any orders which have not pushed automatically die to the Order Settings, it is possible to push them manually, by setting the Push column to Send:

Automatic sending of eBay orders

Every time a buyer commits to buy one of your listings, an order is automatically added to Magento.

It is possible to change under which circumstances orders are pushed, or even disable it completely.

Multiple Purchases are Combined If a buyer commits to buy a second listing before paying for the first, the original order is automatically cancelled and a new combined order is automatically added to Magento.

To avoid this from happening, set the Only send orders when setting in eBay | Codisto > Manage Orders to Buyer has paid.

Payment Status The order status of eBay purchases are set to Pending until the buyer completed checkout and pays for the purchase. Only orders with a payment status of Complete should be fulfilled

Configuring eBay using Custom Attributes

Using Custom Attributes

Codisto's Grid ("Manage Listings" view) is a quick and easy way to configure eBay specific variables such as eBay price, freight, which products are listed etc. This can easily be done in bulk in the grid.

However, if you already have the data you would like to use or you'd like to use more logic driven ways to set eBay variables you can use Custom Attributes. Click the 'Attributes' menu in the eBay | Codisto tab in Magento Admin:

Multiple eBay accounts - Magento

It is easy to connect multiple eBay accounts to Magento using MarketPlace

Connect by Codisto. Connecting the first time is a simple as following this article

Once connected to eBay, and on the settings screen, you will see settings for your eBay Account that you have just connected. (See below).

* Note - If you do not connect to eBay initially you will not see the Manage eBay Accounts / Marketplaces option.

To Connect an additional eBay account please click "Manage eBay Accounts / Marketplaces"

You will now be presented with your Store Views and current eBay configuration including options to

Change the eBay Marketplace that is currently selected for a particular store

view

Add an eBay Account to a store view

Add an eBay marketplace to a store view

Select "Add eBay Account"

Proceed to follow the instructions listed next to "When the eBay Sign in form appears, enter your eBay user ID and Password and click Sign In" here

After you have entered the details and been granted application access to Codisto for this additional account you will be presented with a screen such as the following.

The new eBay account will now appear at the bottom of the Store View that you clicked "Add eBay Account" for (In the example above Default Store View). At this point, you may change the eBay Marketplace that this new account lists on for the selected store view or click Save.

Once this process has completed you will see the additional account that you just connected listed in the eBay settings (as per below).

Now that you have the additional account listed, to specify which eBay account to list on, click the down arrow next to the listed eBay ID at the top of XpressGrid.

Now select the eBay ID you would like to use to list.

After selecting the desired eBay user ID, the XpressGrid will reload and you can proceed to list.
