Marketing Internship Program
Our Marketing Internship Program provides a unique opportunity for undergraduate and
graduate students to gain valuable, hands-on work experience, while learning and developing
skills in a variety of disciplines such as marketing, branding, social media, advertising and
promotion, public relations, communications, and event planning.
IBS Global Consulting is dedicated to providing our interns with a rich learning experience. We
provide challenging tasks and great opportunities for students to sharpen their skills, and build
their resume and portfolio.
Interns work on numerous departmental projects, including (but not limited to):
Marketing
• Assist with the design and implementation of the corporate marketing strategy for the
company
• Plan and execute corporate branding events
• Prepare marketing presentations for the company
• Develop and manage marketing database which includes client and prospect
information
• Perform market research through interviews, focus groups and surveys
• Lead in the development of global marketing and advertising campaigns that create
excitement for clients and partners and build brand equity for IBS Global Consulting
• Assist in planning and coordinating workshops, seminars and other client events
Communications
• Develop strategic, consistent external and internal communications
• Write, edit and oversee the design of print and online materials such as newsletters,
brochures, and other marketing collateral
• Produce content for the company's website, update the website
• Use social media to promote brand awareness
• Manage the company’s Intranet
• Create content for social media including Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn
• Assist in developing SEO content for the company’s website and blog
• Write and post daily/weekly blog posts
Public Relations
• Write and distribute news releases and respond to media inquiries
• Develop relationships with journalists/bloggers and pitch story ideas
• Prepare packets of information to distribute to the media
• Arrange for representatives from the company to speak at community and trade events
• Track and monitor media coverage with clippings, coverage reports, and a photo library
• Maintain and organize media database
• Assist with press event planning
• Manage the reputation of the company
Editorial/Journalism
• Assist in the production of our in-house publication, The Global Business Advisor
Magazine
• Develop content for online and digital copy
• Copy, edit and proofread articles, fact-checking articles to be published
• Transcribe interviews
• Assist with writing social media content across key platforms (Facebook, Twitter,
LinkedIn)
• Write and update content for the newsletters and website
• Create slideshows, story tags, and optimize print articles for the web
• Assist with the design and execution of promotional events and giveaways that will
increase readership and brand awareness
