We look at e-Learning as an e-Business application

e-LEARNING is defined as a web-enabled enterprise application, including the entire spectrum

from back-end systems to front-end linkages such as learning delivery systems, learning

management, and the underlying infrastructure (hardware & software)

In this sense e-LEARNING is an e-business application; content services solutions and services

    in scope of this definition

"The next big killer application for the Internet

is going to be education" (John Chambers)

There has been a lot of talk and hype in the media recently about mobile computing.

Have e-commerce and e-learning been superseded by m-commerce and m-

    learning?

    The answer is no!

Mobile computing is just one component of Pervasive computing - the two things are

not separate or distinct, mobile computing is a subset of pervasive computing. m-

commerce and m-learning are interesting areas but they should be viewed in the

    context of pervasive computing.

    m-learning in Perspective

Pervasive computing is a much more human-centric way of accessing information and

systems - previous boundaries of file and system incompatibilities are removed -

information is presented to you in a timely and appropriate manner where ever you are.
