1. Explicación del proyecto.

Trabajo como maestro en el colegio público bilingüe “Los Arévacos” situado

en la ciudad de Arévalo en Ávila. Comenzamos este proyecto a raíz de un

curso que hice en el CFPI (Centro de Formación de Profesores de Idiomas) deValladolid, en el que pasamos un día de desarrollo profesional, encaminado a

realizar una actividad en los centros en conmemoración del 400 aniversario de

la muerte de Shakespeare y Cervantes.

Desde los distintos organismos e instituciones educativas se está haciendo

lo posible para dar un impulso a la memoria de estos grandes autores y, como

no podía ser de otra manera, los centros educativos colaboramos en esta

difusión. En el curso de sexto de primaria precisamente hemos trabajado el

tema de la Edad Moderna en el tercer trimestre, por lo que me decidí a realizar

una actividad encaminada a que los niños trabajaran estos autores de la época.

También me ayudó recordar una experiencia pasada que tuve con marionetas

en un centro en EEUU y me propuse realizar un Proyecto Educativo en el que

los alumnos trabajaran con personajes de las obras de Cervantes y

Shakespeare.

Finalmente centramos el Proyecto para las asignaturas de SOCIAL

SCIENCE y ARTS AND CRAFTS (Ambas bilingües) que consistió en que cada

alumno creara una MARIONETA de un personaje del LIBRO DON QUIJOTE

DE LA MANCHA (Miguel de Cervantes) y de la obra teatral ROMEO Y

JULIETA (William Shakespeare).

Para ello elaboramos la marioneta de la siguiente forma con estas

instrucciones:

1. Cogemos una bola de Poliespan y le dibujamos una cara.

2. Le añadimos el pelo (lana u otro material)

3. Le ponemos un palo para sujetarlo.

4. Le ponemos un trozo de tela que será la ropa para que cubra nuestra

mano que sostiene el palo que sujeta la cabeza de la marioneta.

BOLAS DE POLIESPAN

EJEMPLO DE CÓMO PINTAR LA CARA

Se explicó a los alumnos en clase el procedimiento. La marioneta tenía

que venir acompañada de un texto breve explicando quién es el personaje

elegido escrito en el idioma INGLÉS. (Máximo medio folio). El trabajo de los

niños y de las familias fue espectacular y se cuidó mucho la presentación de

las marionetas.

Organizamos las clases de 6º del centro con 2 grupos de marionetas; 1

para la obra de Don Quijote y otro para Romeo y Julieta, por lo tanto con 6ºA y

6ºB juntos se formaron 4 grupos en total. En la clase de 6ºB al ser una clase

más numerosa formamos otros dos grupos con otros personajes relevantes de

la Edad Moderna, también con sus propios diálogos.

El trabajo era individual pero para la representación los alumnos se tenían

que coordinar en parejas o pequeños grupos para preparar una pequeña obra

teatral. En este apartado se produjo una explosión de creatividad por parte de

los niños al pensar por sí mismos los diálogos de la representación y al tratarse

de una elaboración personal los alumnos se sintieron muy motivados.

Los alumnos realizaron varios ensayos y al final una breve representación

en clase con las marionetas dentro de la clase de 6ºB.

2. Ensayos “PUPPET SHOW”

Dedicamos varias sesiones de plástica y alguna de clase de Sociales para

preparar diálogos y el escenario de las marionetas.

La elaboración del escenario se ha elaborado en el colegio por parte del

profesor y alumnos a partir de estos materiales:

A partir de mayo y siempre en la hora de plástica hicimos LOSENSAYOS correspondientes:

A. Cada alumno con su marioneta hizo la descripción individual de supersonaje en INGLÉS (El medio folio).

B. ENSAYAMOS los diálogos de los grupos formados.

3. La competencia lingüística en Inglés

El proyecto lingüístico del CEIP “Los Arévacos” se concreta en un currículo

bilingüe en español-inglés a través de una propuesta curricular con los

contenidos de las materias de Natural Science (Ciencias Naturales), SocialScience (Ciencias Sociales) y Arts and Crafts (Plástica) completamente en

inglés en los niveles de 6º de primaria. Por tanto, todas las instrucciones a la

hora de desarrollar el Proyecto se han realizado en inglés, con el objetivo de

conseguir mejorar sus destrezas comunicativas, sobre todo, a través de la

repetición de los diálogos.

El trabajo de la competencia lingüística en lengua extranjera es parte

inherente de las asignaturas con metodología AICLE – CLIL (APRENDIZAJE

INTEGRADO DE CONTENIDOS Y LENGUA – CONTENT LANGUAGE

INTEGRATED LEARNING) y en este caso los contenidos trabajados

pertenecientes a la EDAD MODERNA son en concreto los personajes

históricos mencionados. Al elaborar los diálogos por parte de los estudiantes y

practicar de manera rigurosa los textos y focalizando la atención en la

pronunciación se puede apreciar la mejoría de manera notable de los alumnos

desde que comenzaron los ensayos, hasta los vídeos finales de la

representación a modo de ensayo de la obra teatral con las marionetas (Ver

enlaces más abajo).

Para trabajar la pronunciación los alumnos realizaban la actuación en

clase sentados en sus sitios y el profesor corregía los fallos encontrados, para

repetirlo correctamente. También en los ensayos con marionetas en clase se

les corregía. Además nuestro auxiliar de conversación, Mr. Goldie (GregoryGoldie), colaboró en esta labor, así como también se prestó a realizar una serie

de grabaciones junto con Mr. Blokker (Ramón Herranz Blokker), que consistían

en interpretar los diálogos para posteriormente enviar las grabaciones a través

de la plataforma educativa del centro a los alumnos para que pudieran practicar

sus párrafos correpondientes en sus casas. (ver enlaces de los audios en el

apartado 8).

Además los alumnos elaboraron una cajita de soporte para lasmarionetas y se expusieron en el pasillo de 5º y 6º de primaria con unaexplicación de medio folio de cada personaje a modo de display para el resto

de alumnos del colegio.

Well, this is the life of Don Quijote and his friends. Actually, more like a

brief summary of the story.

Narrator (Yune): I´m Shakespeare, the author of Romeo andJuliet.

I was born in April 1564 in the U.K

I wrote poems like Venus and Avon

Narrator- In the beautiful city of Vienna, where we place our

story, there were two families dignified and powerful. They wereof the same tradition and ancestry, but were also driven by old

grudges, which triggered constant arguments.

Mother of Romeo- My son, wake up

Romeo- I’m coming mum.

Narrator- When they awoke, Romeo and his father went to dobusiness as usual, walking, getting food, etc… After a while

Romeo became separated from his father.

Father of Romeo- Romeo son, can you go see what fruits are out

there?

Narrator- Romeo then found a castle where the family of Juliet

lived. In a window, appeared the young and beautiful Juliet.

Romeo- Hello

Juliet – Hello

Narrator –As soon as Juliet’s parents heard the voice of Romeo,

they came to the scene. Romeo’s father also appeared and

began to argue with Juliet’s family. After a few months, Romeo

and Juliet started to love each other.

Narrator –They began to talk for a long time, but one day… Juliet

asked a servant to give her a potion in order to appear dead. This

is because their parents didn’t want Romeo and Juliet to betogether. A priest told Romeo that his beloved Juliet was dead.

When Romeo learned of this he then took the poison. When

Juliet awoke and saw Romeo on the ground, she kissed him, but

she herself wasn’t poisoned by the lips of Romeo. So she decided

to kill herself with his sword. They died together. If they could

not to be together in life, then they would be together in death.

(LARA) This is the story of people in love, whose families were enemies. This

however is not the real story, this is my new story of Romeo and Juliet:

Romeo: Who is that beautiful girl?

Juliet: I’m Juliet. I am new in this beautiful village.

Romeo: I’m Romeo. Ohh! I will show you the village.

Romeo and Juliet strolled around all of the village; after that Romeo and Juliet

became very good friends. They began seeing each other every day. Now they are

in the mountains.

Juliet: Ohhh! Romeo you are my best friend.

But Juliet slipped and stopped just at the edge of the cliff she was scared.

Juliet: Ahhhhhhh! I fell heeelp!

Juliet: Ohhh! It has only been a dream.

Romeo heard Juliet shout and he went to help Juliet.

Romeo: Juliet, are you okay?

Juliet: Yes; I only had a nightmare.

At the next day Juliet and Romeo went to the amusement park of Madrid they sawand rode all of the attractions.

Romeo and Juliet thought and thought a lot and they found a way to be together

without their families interference. Romeo and Juliet then travelled all over the

world without their families.
